Taking a Stand
The world of mortals was still alien to Kael. He wondered just how much longer he would have to stay here. Had his mother found any clue as to those who had created the shadow army that attacked Asgard? If not, then how long would it take? It wasn't as if it was all bad here. The Defenders were good people. Svalin was at least being more tolerant of him. Haljborn tended to be at least partially hostile most of the time. Vernique,, He turns slightly to the small woman holding her Asgardian son. He was fond of the woman. But still.. what was he doing here?

Her jaw sets very firmly and Aridis suddenly looks angry. "Svalin. Art thou a daughter of Thor and Sif?"

She is so annoyed right now that she finds it difficult to form thoughts. She takes in a deep breath and letsit out slowly. "Thou art mine sister. Thou art a warrior. Does a warrior let themselves be defeated by anything? No. Doth I need to call thine wife in here? I swear we wilt order thee to never give up sister! You will fight this! I care not that you are injured, you still live. That means thou still hast a chance to fight."

She pulls out the drawings and tosses them into her sister's lap. "I guess if thou art still Svalin Thorsdottir thou can make use of these. Come up with a plan. Or I canst remove these for thee."

"Aye I do but.... we hath seen much, sister. It makes me feel that giving up is foolish. I do not want to give up.... if I could find a way to help you I wouldst."

She felt some of her anger bleed away.

"Mayhap we can fit thee with a prosthetic so thou can work the forge? I doth not know enough to be able to truly help thee but if there ist anything sister, you need only ask. I doth not want you you to sink into what the mortals call depression... a farmer wilt always be a framer, a sorcerer a sorcerer, and.... a warrior shouldst always be one. That ist what I think anyways. Perhaps I art an idealist."
