Power Outtage
Alpha Flight had, eventually, returned to their headquarters and home after doing all they could for the town disaster.  No explanation or answers had been forthcoming, and it was possible they never would.  That such tragedy could strike without warning or meaning was disheartening, to say the least.

Tired, Alpha has spent much of the next few days recovering and mourning in their own ways.  The survivors had been taken to local medical services and were expected to recover fully.  But there were children who had been made orphans, husbands and wives who had been made widowers and widows, and parents left to bury children.

All the survivors save one.  The man they'd found who had been unharmed.  Department H had been concerned with just how he'd managed to escape unharmed and thought he might be a possible super-human, possibly even the cause.  So they had taken custody of him, just in case.  Studying him had so far not shown any signs of anything.

In the temple, Nim settled herself onto the couch, her hair still slightly damp from her soak.

"Anybody want fondue?" come the whispers from the vents. Mel hadn't known what else to do.

Mention of food is clearly Jordan's cue. He's been mostly keeping to himself since the disaster, claiming a need to work on the official side of things. Corresponding with government officials, police, international elements and making what media statements Alpha Flight is going to make - which is true. It saves the others from having to do it, and also gives him an excuse to dwell a bit on his own. Finally feeling social enough to check in on the others, he shows up as Mel is asking.

"That'd be great. Don't suppose there's any cookies left? I thought I smelled some baking earlier."

Mason shows up as well. He knows about how much Jordan has been pushing himself, so he took the liberty of getting hold of a bottle of his favorite Montreal vintage. He pokes him in the back with the neck of the bottle as he joins the others.

"Fondue would be great, Mel." He passes off the wine and then goes to Nim's side.

"Fondue's be good," Nim agreed.

God. What kind of Queen would she make if she couldn't even hold up after a tragedy like this?
