Shield Conference (Open to Shield)
Director Fury was calling for an update on various operations. Josh's job was keeping track of developments from various criminal organizations and superhuman threats. As such, he was among those called.

Mm no Aleksi does stand out in a crowd a bit. "If they have access to those kinds of alterations, and the locals want this cape-free, then the final plan will probably have to include containment, in case one of these 'mad dogs' slips by. On the other hand, instinctive pack dynamics might make capturing easier to handle."

"Still volunteering for fun and games with new toys."

"I should add that these mutations come in two stages. The first are relatively human, save for claws, fangs, and enhanced sense. Think Wolverine-lite. The ones in the more advanced stage..let's just say people might start thinking there are werewolves in town," Josh informed.

"There's files on the stages. I'm not sure how complete they are but I'll go through them and write up a summary without the technical terms so you know what you're dealing with," Lena offers. At least she knew this was her area of expertise, the others did the field work but she could make sure they weren't going in blind.

"I'm happy to do both weapons testing, and be ready for containment work if the furries get out of hand. If the latter is going to be more than two days, though, I'd need a certified medical expert to come with to help monitor my gamma levels."

"Give me a few hours and I may be able to come up with a portable monitor," Tim said thoughtfully. There was radiation monitoring equipment in the lab that they were testing, maybe one could be modified to measure Aleks' levels and still be portable.

"That'd be useful overall, especially in giving a general overview, but it won't be too useful if he needed to do something about the radiation levels," she has to point out. "I can go along for that if you need it," she shrugs, not really minding. There was still construction in the lab next door, which meant for once she didn't mind leaving hers so much.

Oh help them all, a pack of Texan Wolverines. "I don't suppose throwing a six-pack in their midst and letting them take each other out is a sanctioned tactic," she offered dryly. "Though, with that much primal instinct running around, there is less chance of elaborate traps and counter-measures to contend with."

"If they're that dangerous, we'd be better off sending Wolverine in undercover," Sammy pointed out. "That's if we want surveillance. If we want to just take out the werewolves, we should go with the big guns and sort it out later. It doesn't sound like we'll get much of a chance to smooth it over if the second stage is underway. The law abiding mutants in this country can't take a hit like that if it goes public."

"I figured the undercover was to make sure we have proof ahead of time, and we have agents they wouldn't recognize. And since the Doc has volunteered to come along, we can play house nearby for a bit in case things go wrong. Easy enough."

"We send a team in undercover before we take any action," Nick said.
