Shopping
It was a perfect autumn day in Los Angeles and perfect for shopping, at least according to her wife. Vernique didn't miss the fact that Brandr had all Asgardian clothes, what little of those he had, and no Migard clothes. There was a statement that bodyguarding couldn't be done if one stood out. So shopping it was.

Svalin was on Solver duty for shopping. She knew next to nothing about Migard fashion or clothes in general and someone had to keep Solver from flying around the stores. Vernique was the expert shopper in the family and Svalin was more than happy to let her take point and say where they went and what they bought.

With toddler in arms and distracted by animal crackers, Svalin followed her wife and Brandr.

"Oh, she doesn't wear them oft at all." Amusingly, if Svalin didn't raise such a fuss about dresses, the occasional tear would not be met with these results. However, since she did, there were consequences to accidents: Tear a dress; get a new dress. This association must be driven into certain heads. Dress-tearing should be avoided.

"Something in a short skirt, don't worry."

	Brandr says nothing and just observes Vernique at work. That she could get a warrior like Svalin to deal with dress shopping was fascinating. Though he hadn't quite expected his duties would involve...this. Solver hadn't even needed to get fished out of a tree yet, which was a good thing in his book. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Svalin handed Solver to her wife and took the dress. She headed for the fitting room. One thing she learned about shopping that there was no getting out of the store without trying things on. No amount of arguing would get her wife to change her mind about /that/ issue.

A few moments later Svalin came out with the dress on. "It doth fit fine." She turned around so her wife could see all of it. Yes, she was well trained by now.

	Svalin emerged from the dressing room and handed her wife the dress and took Solver from her. She kissed a chubby cheek and settled him on a hip. "What store is next?" They had only been shopping an hour. They weren't close to being done since Brandr only had few articles and not nearly enough (in her wife's opinion). (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Many more hours? Well this was an ordeal one warrior here had never encountered. "...I see. Ist there anything I can help with milady?" To give him something to occupy himself with at the very least and, hopefully, speed things along a bit. Though this slightly manic Lady Vernique was something he'd need to get used to. 	Svalin kept Solver occupied. The story now was about one of the battles of Asgard. Svalin was currently telling him about when she leaped from the wall and killed a Frost Giant by driving her sword into the top of his head. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dutifully, Brandr carries all the bags in his left hand and is perfectly okay with playing the pack mule for this outing.

Apparently experience in training Asgardians for shopping pays off, it helps that he's good at following orders too, so Brandr just puts on a smile and says, "Of course milady." He's getting very good at that. After trying on the shirt, he emerges from the change room and tries not to look too uncomfortable with this new clothing style.
