Shopping
It was a perfect autumn day in Los Angeles and perfect for shopping, at least according to her wife. Vernique didn't miss the fact that Brandr had all Asgardian clothes, what little of those he had, and no Migard clothes. There was a statement that bodyguarding couldn't be done if one stood out. So shopping it was.

Svalin was on Solver duty for shopping. She knew next to nothing about Migard fashion or clothes in general and someone had to keep Solver from flying around the stores. Vernique was the expert shopper in the family and Svalin was more than happy to let her take point and say where they went and what they bought.

With toddler in arms and distracted by animal crackers, Svalin followed her wife and Brandr.

As per Lady Vernique's suggestion (but the way she talked about clothing made him suspect it was more than just a 'suggestion'), the fur cloak was left behind. Which left him mostly in his leather decidedly-non-Midgard clothing. Of course he didn't quite see why he needed Midgard clothing, his was really just fine, but when put forward as part of properly fulfilling his duties...well he couldn't argue then.

Looking quite conspicuous, Brandr follows Vernique without really understanding what exactly she was looking for. "Milady, do ye do this often?"

	"Aye," she said. "We doth do this often." Too often for Svalin's tastes, but her wife knew what she was doing when it came to Migard stuff and clothes. Svalin gave Solver another animal cracker (why were they called crackers when they were clearly cookies?) and started to tell him about the time she slayed her first dragon. 	Vernique let her tell her story, but she'd remember to point out to Solver eventually how Mommyone's dragonslaying techniques were not necessarily to be emulated. "He keeps outgrowing his shoes, which gives me a great excuse." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"The young lord ist very well cared for in thine hands. At least he shalt never want for boots," Brandr smiles, though he doesn't get this shopping thing.

All of the midgard clothing he'd seen so far seemed woefully inadequate for combat, something he'd like to ask about when he got the chance. Because the point of this trip seemed to be to get him to blend in more, which he saw the reason for he'd admit, people had mistaken him for some creature called a 'Cosplayer' already. The whispers wondering how real his swords were baffled him a little though. Who would carry fake swords? That made no sense.

Brandr listens to the dragon story with a small smile. It was an entertaining one, and her battle tactic was brave, daring and strategic. He really didn't see the objection to it. Hair could grow back.

He eyes the jeans for a moment and holds them up to determine their size. The material at least seemed tougher than many of the others here. "Very well milady. Am I to wear them now?" Well a job was a job. Goodbye practical clothing that had served him so well until now, local customs must be observed and ladies were to be listened to.

	Elsewhere in the mall not too far from where Vernique, Svalin and Brandr were a few members of the Revenge Squad were causing problems. Rollerball powered up and started rolling down one of the aisles in the mall. Stilt Man deployed the roller skates on his suit and started down the other aisle. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Brandr just looks at the Stilt Man on skates, a little confused. "Ye know of these ones milady?" If she said they were clowns then he should probably use the flat of his blade. They did seem to be more troublemakers than warriors. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Brandr only moves as much forward as needed to put himself between the odd man and Vernique and Solver. He's not even sure what he's fighting but he swats away the arms with his sword and, as the next one comes he brings the edge of his blade down on one, fully intending to slice the extended arm off.
