The Costs of Doing Business
After her previous run was ruined, Jean-Louise was relieved to finally be on the Kree border sorting out oatmeal orders. Just one little outpost now, but give her time. She was giving the senior officers a sample of the new milkshake-like beer recipe she'd learned when she found herself looking out the window.

	Love those Celestial Messiah* reflexes. Alex swings out of the way, parrying one of the blades with the barrel gun that leaped back into his hand. Something in his instincts tells him not to follow up, and he waits for her next move. *50/50 odds it's him or his brother, at least. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's close, but he manages to dodge back, just enough that he's only grazed. That would have busted his kneecap if it connected with force. His brow furrows, before relaxing. Alex goes still. It's not the stillness of a normal human. It's like a statue, or a tree just barely swaying in the wind.

His coloring shifts closer to normal, briefly.

"So why don't we skip the bullshit and talk to whoever's really in charge? My people and your people all come to the table like adults, and I get Ronan or somebody on the horn to unfuck this situation."

The green comes back.
