The Costs of Doing Business
After her previous run was ruined, Jean-Louise was relieved to finally be on the Kree border sorting out oatmeal orders. Just one little outpost now, but give her time. She was giving the senior officers a sample of the new milkshake-like beer recipe she'd learned when she found herself looking out the window.

It wasn't long before a small fleet of ships suddenly appeared overhead. It wasn't long after that sounds of laser-fire ignited all over.

"What's going on!? What do you mean we didn't detect them!? Muster the defenses now!?" The voice was that of a Kree captain. He ran to Jean-Louis. "Ma'am, you need to get to one of the shelters now!"

It wasn't long before a smaller, by spaceship standards, ship landed on the ground. Several Kree opened fire before a massive blue-skinned brute barreled out of the ship, casting soldiers like flimsy dolls. In it's hands was a massive, mini-gun-like weapon.

"The Highlord desires this world purged! Annihilate everything!"

Jean-Louise will assure the captain she can get there herself, so he can concentrate on the job. She'll make her way in the appropriate direction, but as the ship comes down, and the guy comes out with a mini-gun and she does two things. She gets out her little space-radio thing to call back to Knowhere, and she starts focusing.

All the crazy soldiers everywhere, she can't do a thing about. Like dad used to be, she's useless with anything taht breathes. A gun doesn't breathe, though. And she's been practicing turning things into oatmeal for weeks.

	And before the confused monster's eye, his giant weapon suddenly transformed into some kind of organic concoction.He snarls in anger, cursing in the ancient Kree dialect. He turns his single eye over in Jean-Louise's direction. Several Kree opened fire on the brute, but lasers didn't seem to even hurt him. He began to run towards the encampment. 	Okay. Okay, this wasn't hard. One didn't even have to actually change the molecules themselves, just put them in a different lattice. A perfectly natural lattice. And for a few feet between the cyclopean-monster-thing and the civilians -- Kree civilians; go fig -- the air froze into ice, and Jean-Louise started clutching her head in pain.
