The Costs of Doing Business
After her previous run was ruined, Jean-Louise was relieved to finally be on the Kree border sorting out oatmeal orders. Just one little outpost now, but give her time. She was giving the senior officers a sample of the new milkshake-like beer recipe she'd learned when she found herself looking out the window.

	She jumps and starts doing twists and turns. She isn't able to avoid all of them. A few slice through her uniform and one stick s briefly into her arm. She winces in pain but keeps moving pulling out her billy club as she gets closer and swings it as Ker-Dren's face. She knows she is hurting right now but she won't let this slow her down. Ker-Dren sees the attack, but couldn't possibly dodge it in time. Instead, smaller versions of the previous spikes grow from his face. They're sturdy enough to repel the bill club, though some of them snap off from the force of the attack. He staggers back before unleashing the remnants of the spikes on his face at her.While she's occupied he removes his shirt, and starts on his shoes.

	Thankfully he's still wearing a pair of combat shorts. "Say what you will, pink-skin. It will be your last sight." For every inch of bare blue skin, spikes emerge. On his face, arms, chest, and legs, spikes appear. "Good bye." And then they all shoot forth. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She had been about to make another smart comment. Then yelped and just started moving. She manages to keep out of the way of most of the spikes but feels more skin her and a few break through some of the armored sections of her uniform. She needs to find a place to hide for a moment s she can break them away from her uniform. Crap. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ker-Dren was not just speaking for speaking's sake. He was trying to ascertain her location by getting her to speak. He purposefully moved the other way, but from an angle where he believed he could snip at her. "I am an officer of the Bastion. Finding female companionship has never been an issue."
