Awkward-Appreciation meme
Manny was getting ready for movie night. He had a big bowl of chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream in one hand, and a bag of cheddar cheese Ruffles in the other. He hadn't decided on what to watch yet, but that was half the fun.

Manny took a breathe, sheathing his claws as far as they would go. He carefully took the case in one hand, and carefully pried the case open with a claw from the other hand. Two claws each delicately brace the disk on the sides while a claw from his other hand, pushing down and allowing him to work the disk out of the container. He gets up, lightly presses the eject with a claw and delicately places the disk inside. He sits back down.

"That..very, very carefully."

	"Hmm, well I guess that works." He'd do the same with TK but letting Manny handle it might've been better. Though it did make him think of the different ways they had of handling these hand issues. Claws were quite different from magic hands after all. Did it hurt to scratch yourself? Manny didn't have armour everywhere really. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Martin scratches his head in thought. "But if you scratch yourself does it hurt? I guess you could rip your clothes if you got itchy...is that why you don't wear clothes? How come?" He was curious as to why Manny didn't seem to ever wear clothes when there were tailors and such who could make big clothes. The Thing had pants after all. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Does it feel weird to walk around with no clothes? Do you get cold? You can't take off the shell part right?" All the question come flowing out, because now that his first ones haven't been shot down, his curiosity gets the better of him. Though Manny's last line has him grin. "Oh! Good! "Oh good! Then you'll like my present!" Martin grinned and took off his hat to peak into it and check the present was there before letting it float out. What 'it' was, was in fact a stack of what looked like playing cards. "I was trying to put spells in cards for others to use and I made extras for you." The cards spread themselves out on the table and start sorting into 3 coloured stacks. "Red is to make your stuff fire and explosion proof! And blue is for water-proof but the yellow ones, I made mostly those for you, are like...damage proof? So if you scratch yourself the clothes won't rip! I fixed them for you so all you have to do is put one on the clothes and then tap it twice, they're real durable don't worry, and poof! Scratch proof!"

He grinned expectantly at Manny, waiting for a reaction.

No very clear outward panic from Manny was a good sign, and had Martin incredibly happy.

"You do nice things for people you like. And you've been really nice to me Manny." He stopped to look down at his hands and continue in a more subdued but still quietly pleased tone. "Thanks for talking to me and stuff and being my friend even if you don't like magic much. It's nice having friends again." At least he was pretty sure they were friends.
