Manhunt
The X-Men had informed Shield of the resurgence of the U-Men and since then Donnelly had feelers out to see how extensive the organization was. While on one of these searches some unexpected information fell into their laps. He quickly put in a call to the X-Men.

	As if on cue, because irony loves the X-Men, a roar rang out in the night. Door suddenly flung open as hulking..things started exiting. Each looked like humans with a series of patchwork limbs stitched together. The creatures proceeded to try and flank the team. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Misha, get in the air with me. Let's bring as much firepower from above as we can. Etoile, Vlad, direct engagement where you can. Cait, Shane, attack at range. 	He sighed at the sight of all the...weird zombie-ish things approaching. "Seriously, just because effort was made to beat the last record of the zombie program does not mean I actually like fighting you guys," he frowned at the largest one before dashing towards it, going low to avoid an attack and aiming a punch at what might be the thing's solar plexus. The X-Men will soon discover that these creatures, while they looked like zombies, they didn't act like zombies at all. Rachel's blasts sent several off their feet, but they quickly rolled back up. They started picking up various objects: tires, garbage cans, manhole covers, and even a car and started throwing them at the flying Rachel and Misha.

Another group seemed to recognize Cait and Shane as long-range attackers and began to..rip telephone poles out of the ground and start swinging at the pair.

Vlad and Etoile's blows rocked the creatures, but only from a pure force vs force manner. The creatures didn't appear to hurt at all, and began to attack the two en masse, leaping at Vlad while trying to grab Etoile's staff.

Vlad crouches low, letting the creature leap at him. He waits for the right moment to spring up shove up at the thing with a lot of force, aiming to send it in the air and in the line of fire of either the telephone poles or flying objects. Based on the first attack it doesn't look like either the shove or any hits will hurt the thing though, so he's only getting a feel for what will damage them right now.

	Shane pushes himself out of the way of the poles with electricity. He then taps into the power in the torn electrical wire to send a beam of electricity towards the things. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Etoile noticed one the whatever they were trying to grab her Bo staff, quickly she twists it quickly to separate it into two. She connected the two short Bo staffs on to the creatures, by giving off a pulse of explosive kinetic force. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The X-Men's efforts repelled the creatures, sending some to the ground and others flying back. However, those he managed not to fall looked ready for more and the ones who fell were climbing back to their feet.

On the edge of the town a new group of figures appeared. Most were soldiers in armored combat uniforms, but the man in the middle looked like a mish-mash of mostly human parts in a raincoat.

"Impressive, aren't they, X-Men?" Hayes called out.

	Etoile dodged some of the power lines the creatures were using. She grunts at the annoyance of it all. "These guys are persistence and bounce back easily." Etoile said with a sigh. She adds more kinetic energy to her Bo staffs, as she clears a way towards Hayes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
