Maybe you should wear clothes to breakfast...
Waking up in the morning was never his favourite thing, but why oh why did Cait have to have what must be the most comfortable bed. It just made getting out of bed even more needlessly difficult. How did she ever wake up with a bed like this?

Vlad was about to just give up, curl back into the covers to cuddle the pretty girl and doze off again, when he remembered he'd intended to give her a heads up on the birthday present early. Only about a third awake, he managed (through mostly-closed eyes and much yawning) to make it to the door, with boxers on. This was after a light kiss, "Be right back." (she was probably asleep though, he figured), and a very close call on just heading to his room wearing nothing. Luckily he'd remembered to at least put on something at last minute, so it'd taken two sleepy trips to the door to get something that simple right.

But he'd managed it mostly, and left the room, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, to head to the boys wing, not looking where he was going or registering who was around at all. Just autopilot.

	Not a way to start a morning. At all. It had pretty much entirely derailed him for the day when he remembered the present thing. Okay so there may be an issue with it given her dad's likely low opinion of him now but...it shouldn't ruin a day, or birthday. So Vlad went to find Cait. Yes, he was dressed this time. "As long as you think so," he grinned. "Perfect. Was on my way to do this this morning but...uh unfortunate morning run-in that I'd like to take back derailed that. Your dad may really not like me right now, and there's always a chance some of the rest of your family might not either by proxy...but I already got this way before and breaking out of some ice encasings for you is nothing. So...question is, you free next weekend birthday girl?"

	Sure he'd hoped for a good reaction, but this was the best reaction. Vlad had the widest smile on as he caught her and spun her around while returning the kiss. 	"I have a feeling that you'll find plenty for me to do and keep me quite occupied." It would be great to get away from the chaos that is the X-Mansion and not have to worry about anything else. "Also, it's your birthday weekend so free reign for anything you want to do." Sure, solo weekend trip after that sort of morning run in wouldn't make her dad happy at all, but...he was trying to make her happy, not him, and right now couldn't care less about any negative impressions he might've made on her family. Like he said, what were a few ice encasings to break out of if it was for her?
