New Years
The beginning of a New Year, a time for new hopes, new experiences to come. A time to reflect on times past, remembering fond memories happily and trying to put less pleasant thoughts and experiences in the past.

It is a time of renewal, a time of rebirth. And for much of the world, it is a time of celebration. This is no less true for the super hero set as anyone else. If anything, they just have that much bigger of things to look forward to.

He's suggested taking her out on the town and there's the Center tomorrow. Does that count? He heaves a sigh. "You have a bet." He reaches out a hand to shake on it.

Those were already arranged, and not dates. Daniel eyes Simon a moment, then nods, extending his hand in turn.
"Thanks Uncle Simon. You're a great guy to everyone but yourself, you know."

Daniel grins at the response, lifting his beer in salute to Simon before finishing it.
"Will do, Uncle Simon. You kids have fun." he replies with a wink, before smashing the beer can on his forehead and 3-point shooting the can into the recycling. "Score!"

Daniel takes off down the hall. Mission accomplished.


Since then, Simon, you may just have acquired some more.
