The Devil Came Down to Louisiana
Its been a long ride, though as the Rider goes, a fast one. The trail led him, eventually, to the outskirts of New Orleans, and, of all things, an abandoned amusement park. Before exploring too far, he lets the flems die out, returning to his mortal guise, and hits the nearest payphone to let the team know where he's at.

	He holds his ground, bracing for the next spell at any moment. He needs to pull this off a little longer. He begins tugging the chain towards himself, hand over hand, trying to take the guy off his feet and reel him in. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Behind the priest, the bike guns.

Nick has no illusions. In time, the priest would get his shit together, figure out the chain, and this would turn into an ugly fight. He has no intentions of letting it get that far.

He stops trying to reel the guy in and just makes the chain grow spikes to hold him a little longer as the flaming wheels bear down on him. Yeah, just because he was knocked off, he still has control of the bike.

"Too late."

	That's going to hurt. He goes flying back at the wall, crashing into it with the sound of cracking bone. the flames even flicker a little. It doesn't slow the bike in the least though, the point of Nick grabbing his attention all the while. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Letting his own nature knit the bones back together, and doing his best not to show how much the magical damage has effected him, the Rider walks up to the priest.

"Don't worry, that'll only hurt for a second."

His hollow eyes light with the flare of hellfire.

"Paying for your sins though... that's going to hurt for a long, long time." he adds, looking into the man's eyes.

	He picks up the page, once he breaks the penance stare, leaving the man to deal with whatever demons he's earned in life, while the present demon focuses on the nature of the artifact. 	He's rather sure that's not going to stop any time soon. He's not sure what the man was seeing, nor did he care. As soon as the page is ash, he gets back onto the bike, leaving the priest to the punishment he forged in life. Maybe if one of the others, or the priest's allies are really kind, they'll put him out of his misery. (Reply to this)(Parent)
