Names
They story goes that names -- their meanings, their personal significance in a family -- can end up having influence on a person. What do you think?

Couldn't say, myself. If I'd been a boy, Mom wanted to name me after my grandfather, Vernon Van Dyne. Dad just wanted 'Something French.' So they went with Vernique. French and before that Greek for Bringer of Victory. Same etymology as the name Bernice, so some would say I lucked out in that I didn't end up named Bernie.

I certainly like it.

	He was a good man, and always kind to me. He was also one of the first members of the Resistance, even though he was much older than everyone else. His passing drew a lot of people to our side, despite the fact that many of our backers were once his competition. (Reply to this)(Parent)
