Thomas + Magpies?
Billie knew, before she even stepped foot into McCarthy’s Pub that she was going to receive a warm welcome from the patrons there. The interior of the place was decked out in Black and White, jersey’s and lights that formed the words ‘Montrose Magpies’ blinked and flashed on the walls, making the smirk she wore cut deeper into one cheek as she looked around, not even able to take a seat at the bar without people whispering about who she was. It didn’t take long before a couple of guys approached her, asking if she was who they thought she was. Normally she’d tell them to fuck off, because she was someone who liked her animosity, but she was in a celebratory mood – not only had they won the game, but the teammate she had gotten closer to over the last couple of weeks had given that slimy Kestrel the beat down he deserved. Overall, it was a productive day for all the Magpies.

Because she had some time to kill, she joined the group of rowdy fans, her hand wrapped around the handle of a pint glass, a brow arching up at the somewhat attractive man who kept grinning at her. She knew the look all too well - that ‘I’m going to get in your pants tonight’ look – but she just kept rolling her eyes, looking towards the door frequently to make sure Thomas hadn’t entered yet.

She had a good buzz going by the time she looked to the doorway one more time, and finally saw the teammate she most considered a friend to be standing there. Billie grinned deviously and stood up on her chair whistling loudly to get everyone’s attention.

“Ladies and Gentleman…Thomas McCormack!”

She made a broad sweeping gesture with her arm towards the door, her grin growing in size as she got the reaction she knew she was going to get – the entire bar started cheering and clapping, Billie included, and some of them even went over to the other Quidditch star to shake his hand, and tell him what a great job he did on the pitch. Hopping down from her chair, she finally approached him with there was room, two full pints in her hand, one which she would extend out to Thomas.

“How’s the arm?”

She asked, once again smiling. She figured he needed a mood booster, and being surrounded by people who praised him for his actions in the game instead of scolding him seemed as good a plan as any. She had even invited some of the other members from their team to join in on their fun, but she really couldn’t be too sure of how many were going to take her up on the offer.

Party Post! - Sunday Night
"MONTROSE MAGPIES, THE 1982 BRITISH AND IRISH LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!"

Oh, Maggie would never get tired of hearing that. As trying as the past few weeks, months had been, seeing her stadium (her stadium) lit up with fireworks and fans and just---it was amazing, it was the best feeling she'd ever had in the whole entire world. She was a champion! Her team, they were champions! Oh, she loved her team, she really did. As much as they annoyed her all the time, they had definitely suffered through enough embarrassment and humiliation to last a lifetime and it just made them all work so much harder to get to this place.

The celebration party was set for the pitch of Montrose Stadium, a great white, billowing tent was set up almost immediately after the teams had come off the pitch, and after two hours of interviews and awards (Drake won the game M.V.P.! Maggie had jumped onto his back mid-interview), she was now dressed like a a bloody rockstar. She definitely felt like one, and would continue to feel this way all the way until next year's championship.

She felt a hand on her elbow and Maggie twisted, her eyes batting with a great smile, "What a match, huh?"

[OOC:] You can either tag at the party, or comment as if it were a news post! Interactive fun~

Valentine's Day Gala!

Being the defending champs gave the members of the Caerphilly Catapults many obligations, like being the MC's of this rather lavish evening...or, rather, the boys had volunteered Carys to do all the talking as they stood and looked cute in their suits. It was a job that she didn't particularly mind, she'd been in the spotlight all her life, but she grew bored of introducing generous donors and the big-wigs of the league. Carys knew about all the politics that went on behind the scenes, so she put on a good face, but was definitely not shy about voicing her opinion on certain matters.

"Oh, absolutely," she said to the head of the refereeing committee, "But when you've got one ref on the offensive side, and the foul's committed on the far end of the defense's area....I'm just saying, we should probably be taking advantage of--oh, what's it called?" Carys winked at the man, and at the reporter listening in, "--magic?"

She laughed when he huffed and excused himself, and the reporter shook her hand for the great sound bit. Carys gave a little twirl (her dress had too many ruffles not to twirl), and leaned over the counter to order another drink. The sound of something like an amused snort made her turn her head, and she raised her eyebrows,

"Something funny?"

MacFarlan!
Seth had not been this angry in a long long time. He didn't even bother reading past the first paragraph before he had apparated to Odette's porch and banging on her door, the newspaper crumpled in his fist. He did not care that she might not even be home, or that Noah might answer the door, or if he woke any possibly sleeping children. All that mattered at this very moment was that MacFarlan get her ass out there and explain what the hell was going on.

He wasn't even sure what pissed him off more. That she got the Captainship, despite all his effort and that everything pointed to him being on his way to being reinstated. Doing mostly everything his brother had told him to. He listened to his little brother. If that didn't scream 'I'm trying to get my life together, what else did he need to do.

Or, the fact that she didn't tell him. That he found out by reading it in the damn paper. Hadn't they been getting along? Trying to work together. He'd even go as far to as to say they were almost friends. She knew that this had been his aim ever since the preseason. And she never thought to mention she was out for the job too? Or that she was under consideration, unless she was just being nice so he wouldn't suspect anything. Seth's mind was reeling, going off in tangents and rants trying to decide what this all meant.

"MacFarlan!!" he yelled through the door banging on it again. "Answer the damn door!"

CHRISTMAS PARTY [BACKDATED TO 23RD]

After making a quick stop to check on the children upstairs (Anthony and Elijah looked so precious), Mackenzie continued on her normal perimeter around the party. Ensuring there was enough food and drink for everyone was extremely important, as well as making sure that no-one was left standing by themselves too long. That would hardly promote good review upon later reminiscing among their guests. But luckily, neither of these issues had seem to come up yet, leaving her with little host responsibilities.

So that left Mackenzie practically purring, as she had been for most of the night. The party could not be going better. The house looked beautiful thanks to her near-obsessive decorating, Christmas spirit was in full swing, and everyone looked like they were truly enjoying themselves. Nothing could go wrong, absolutely nothing, making Mackenzie feel her happiest in what seemed like a very long time. This had been a very good idea! Maybe if things continued like this, she could convince Sebastian to make this their annual holiday tradition...

Couldn't be too careful, though. Just for good measure, Mackenzie picked a few of her husband's favorite hors d'oeuvres as they passed by above, placing them on a plate. Finding him was easy; ever since she had gotten back, Sebastian had replaced her shadow. Not in a bad or stifling way, but in more of a supporting kind of way. She knew he was worried.

"I have a present for you," she smiled, producing the plate with one hand as the other wrapped around his open arm.

NOAH
Her hands were shaking. Her hands were shaking. Her hands never shook. In fact, Odette's entire body was shaking, and that had never happened before in her life. Not when she experienced sleep deprivation, certainly not when she was food deprived and never because of any kind of emotional state either. But now, she couldn't even hold the cup of hot liquid Martin had stopped trying to replace into her hands. It would just slip or fall because she couldn't-- think, couldn't breathe, despite finally finding Noah because--- something was wrong, there was something very wrong with him and the Healers---

Odette suppressed a sob as she sunk further into her chair. Martin had gone to contact Noel, as well as everyone else, leaving her alone for the time being. They had found Noah a few hours ago, and since then the Healers had whisked him away and-- nothing. She didn't-- know what to do what could she do? The children asleep, home, despite being jumped around to a new bed practically every night in the past two weeks. And-- and--- her mind couldn't help but jump to what had consumed her during that time.

What could death eaters have possible wanted with Noah? What-- what? What did this mean? Did this mean they weren't safe anymore? That they-- wanted-- was it because of the planetarium? Because he looked at stars all day and night? Or was it-- was it because of her? Because she was a face people recognized? It didn't--- none of it made any sense, and because she had buried her hands into her face, she hadn't noticed a Healer come up to her until she had tapped her on the shoulder.

Jumping up, Odette raced after the Healer showing her the way to Noah's room. Visitors were being permitted, that was a good sign, wasn't it? She couldn't focus on what the Healer was saying to her, even as hard as she tried to watch her lips, it was too difficult. The Healer opened the door too slowly for her taste, and as a result Odette skidded to the only bed in the room so quickly her feet felt dislodged from her body. Noah-- Noah--

"Hi," she choked out, her hand immediately reaching out for his.

Magpie Team Meeting of Doom

Seth was laying out on the grass of the pitch staring up at the sky, while he waited for everyone else to show up.  He had tried sitting in the team room but just ended up pacing back and forth and stressing himself out even more.  So he came out to the pitch where he was always more relaxed.

He ran his hands over his face as he tried to get his thoughts together.  Maybe Odette was right in thinking that this was all a bad idea.  But he had to at least try.  All he had to do was present his case, ask for a vote and let the chips fall as they may.  If they all wanted to keep Drystan as captain, then fine, he wouldn't bring it up again.  This was only because he had originally intended it to be a temporary step down, so it should all be settled before the new season.  And give him some credit, it wasn't like he didn't already know how this was going to turn out, it would just be better if it was official.

"Oh hey"  Seth blinked looking up as a shadow was cast over his face.  "Anyone else here yet?"

Odette! :D
Seth strummed his fingers on his knee as he waited for Odette to show up to the small cafe they had agreed to meet at.  To say he wasn't nervous would probably be a lie, being as this was either go well or be a complete disaster.  There usually wasn't any middle ground between the two of them, even though things have gotten better than where they were two years ago.  Or even last year.

He had expected to have to bribe her to come out and speak with him.  Or at least that she would make him beg and plead and promise to be on his best behavior, but no.  Just an 'Okay', which was odd.  She had even written the words 'I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt' which was so much bigger than her just saying it.  There was actual proof that it had happened.

He didn't bother to stand up when she arrived because really, that would have just been way too over the top, what would he have done, pulled out her chair for her?  Right.  Because that wouldn't start rumors up again.  "Hey." he said pleasantly enough, looking up from his coffee.

noah!
Odette slammed her journal shut, letting out a loud string of frustrated words and noises. The nerve of that-- that--- thing to come back here! England (which also included Scotland and Wales) was her home, where her family lived, which meant he was never invited to come back here! Ever! Hadn't playing for the one of the best teams in the world been good enough? Of course not, nothing ever was--- just like how every moment he continued to exist made her want to scream and rip things apart.

And now she would have to play against him. That-- that--- that-- no matter how many times she reread his stupid journal entry, or pinched herself, she could not get rid of this realization. So he was fucking back. Great. Which meant it would only be a matter of time before he came knocking on their door, like always, infuriating and guilting her until no end!

Keeping her eyes closed, Odette attempted to push these thoughts out of her head. Not--- now, this was not for now. Later, she would deal with this catastrophe later. Today was Noah's birthday. He had no idea about this... situation, so there was absolutely no reason to bring it up now. No need to force him to realize she was keeping yet another skeleton from him. She took a few deep breaths, composing herself before returning back downstairs. Fuck whatever she had come up here to get, that was a lost cause now.

"Time for birthday cake!" She clapped her hands together as she spoke, lending a big smile to her family at the table before continuing on to the kitchen for their desert.

Odetter!
"Terry never really had a...theme," Noah began to explain as he stared at the blank walls of the room that was to be a nursery. He blinked at the white canvas he and Odette had to decorate, not a single idea coming to mind. "It was sort of...stick the crib in my bedroom and be done with it. He didn't mind I don't think."

He looked down at his son, who was passed out on a pile of paint blankets that were supposed to be used to keep the floor clean. Noah had never magically painted, and while it was much easier than the muggle way, he knew that there were still hazards. He turned to Odette with a shrug, hoping she had a better idea of what to do than he did. It had never really occurred to him that you could do so much with a kid's room, and how it could change the way they behave, and Noah hoped Terry didn't become a neanderthal for not having a well decorated room his first year and a half of life.

If left up to him, the walls would probably just be painted a bright, bright pink because that's what girls liked, right?

Yes, what girls liked, what his little girl would like. Except Odette didn't know it was a little girl, and he had to keep the secret to himself or feel the wrath of the woman standing beside him. But he liked knowing he was going to have a daughter to spoil rotten with pink frilly things.

"A farm. A jungle. A..." He grinned, "Noah's ark."

Seth was so so so glad he had decided to take Leanne to a muggle park for a picnic, because it was quickly turned into a tea party, and he found him self unable to say no to her.

"Princess, this is for you to wear." he said putting the pink boa back around her shoulders.

"No! Your turn be prisess." she said pushing the boa back on Seth's shoulders and pulling off her crown to put on his head. Seth scowled the second she turned around to retrieve her teacup. Last time he ever bought her something cute and pink, but had a big grin pasted back on his face by the time she turned back around to give him her teacup.

"Why thank you dear. Such a sweet heart. Must get that from your mother."
