Going Home
Today was a good day. Steve was finally getting out of the hospital and they'd have a few days together over the long holiday weekend. Provided of course that nothing went to hell in Boston and she'd have to go back and help the Thunderbolts deal with the disaster. Here was to hoping.

There was a bounce to her step as she made her way to his room. She carried a bag that contained some clothes for him and a pair of shoes. He didn't need to be going home in his skivvies. Though she definitely liked seeing him in his skivvies, or better yet nothing at all.

She opened the door a crack and poked her head inside.

Anya always brought a smile to Steve's face. Especially today. He was extremely happy to be going home. He was about to go stir crazy and stage an escape from the hospital.

He still had some recovering to do (no strenuous activity for at least another couple weeks), but he was better than before. Even with the bullet-hole scar on his chest.

"Hey, Gorgeous. You come to spring me?"

	"Don't stick that out unless you plan to use it," she said and of course stuck hers out in return. She grinned. "I was going to walk behind you and appreciate the view." She kissed him. 	She gave him a big smile. Anya was so relieved to see him up and moving about and in good spirits. To say that she had been worried was an understatement. To say nothing of the fact that Steve himself was happy to be up and around. The thought that he could have been forced into giving up his heroic career by his injuries had been nothing short of terrifying. There was precious little else he wanted to do with his life, other than be an Avenger. (Sharing a future with Anya did first on the list, even before Avenging)

But he was going to have to rethink his approach. Completely.

He took her hand. "Lead on, m'lady."

At Big Nick's

It took a little time to get to Big Nick's because of New York City traffic. Sometimes it could be a bear.

They eventually arrived and were given a table a little away from others. The Starks were frequent visitors and knew the staff and were given some leeway and special perks.

Anya ordered a beer and a bacon burger with the works. It was definitely a good day.

"From what I've heard, things have been quiet for the Avengers lately."

	Steve does his best to hide his disapproval of the beer and orders a soda for himself, to go with his own bacon burger. "Yeah, other than the Wakanda thing just before..." he trailed off, not completing that thought. "Not much at all, really. Which I hope isn't the calm before the storm."
