Cepheus was always so miserable when he was bored. He'd read through all his comic books and he'd played through a few games. And then he'd listened to all his Queen and Adam Lambert albus. He really needed something to do. He grumbled and rolled around on his bed for a moment, then pushed himself up and walked into his brother's room.

"We need to find something to do." He informed his brother. "Or I'm literally going to die of boredom. And that's a shitty way to go."

Scorpius wanted to point out that he didn't exist to entertain Cepheus, but he was pretty bored too. He'd finished all his holiday homework and now he was just reading Ancient Runes textbooks for fun. Kind of fun. Not really all that fun.

Still. He stared balefully at Cepheus for a moment before responding. "As long as you don't decide fighting is the fun thing to do." Scorpius glanced down at the textbook he was reading, then back at his brother. "I was thinking of doing something. You can come, but you can't tell anyone."

	Cepheus arched a brow at his brother. This was going to be fun, especially if his brother didn't want him to tell anyone. "It's not bad," Scorpius said. "Not really. Just..." He wasn't sure he should tell Cepheus now. He looked like he was thinking about running off and telling as soon as Scorpius offered a suggestion.

"I've been reading ahead in Ancient Runes. I think I can get rid of the spells Bill put up to stop people going in the wing we're not allowed in," he said. "I've always been curious about what's back there."

"It's not," Scorpius said. "I just want to see if I can break the wards Bill put up. I think I can." He eyed his brother for a moment. If Cepheus was excited, he probably woulnd't tell. This seemed to appeal to his Gryffindor sensibilities.

Scorpius got off the bed, bringing his textbook with him. "Let's go. As long as you stay quiet when I need to concentrate this will be fine."

I just don't know why they wouldn't do something to fix it if that was the problem. We have enough money." He looked around the hall to make sure there were no elves about either. 	"I've always assumed they've been hiding something. Sure, the manor is old, but a few spells would protect it. Rather than hiding it from us. It's our house. "Nothing dangerous," Scorpius said, opening his textbook and then tapping his temple so the runes showed up when he looked at them. "It's just like... alarm spells and wards and a couple to make you not want to keep trying to break in. They're not very strong. It just makes it so you can't get in without taking them down."

He looked in his textbook again, then made a few motions with his wand, taking the alarm spells down and smiling to himself when they folded away easily. "Bill probably didn't expect anyone to try that hard to break in."

	Cepheus couldn't believe what his brother had done. He'd made a portrait come back to life. He stared up at the man moving in the portrait, but didn't step back like his brother did. 	Scorpius was pretty sure locking it would be a good idea, but he let it go. "As long as Bill doesn't come over and notice the spells are missing," he said, glancing back at the door.
