Girls' Day Out (Boys can come too)
When Moira had inquired about where she could get a new backpack and some new clothes, Cait saw it as a perfect opportunity to go into the city. They had been cooped up at Xavier's since the Mojoworld stuff and Cait felt like the walls were closing in on her. Even though she spent most of her time down by the lake when she wasn't a few miles down the road at class at the local community college.

It was time to get out and for some freedom.

Cait talked to Uncle Scott and had gotten permission before sending out a text to all the other girls at the mansion. Then she thought about it a minute and sent out a page to the boys. Might as well include them as well. The girls couldnt' be the only ones going stir crazy.

When the specified time arrived, she was waiting by one of the school vans. It was nice being one of the older students who had a driver's license at times.

Chris bounded out the front door on all fours, transforming out of her catgirl state as she approached and slowed, grinning as she pulled roman tie sandals out of her bag. "So where's on the agenda for today?" She leaned back against the van as she started tieing on her shoes, being careful not to lift her leg too far. The tartan one-piece she'd designed herself, like much of her shifter-friendly outfits, didn't go too far down her legs.

	"Shopping," Cait answered Chris and gave her a smile. "Moira needs some new clothes and I think we could all use a refresher to our wardrobes." She gave Moira a smile. "It's not a problem. We could all use a few new outfits." Cait was dressed in her usual style. A nice loose top, her favorite pair of worn jeans, a pair of soft leather boos and the usual jewelry. 	Jess, technically, did not wear clothes. Of course, when you were made of light, you weren't technically naked either. 	It didn't take long to get to the train station in Salem Center and they didn't have a long wait. From there it was just a short train ride into the city. Cait was happy to get out of the Institute and Westchester for the afternoon. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Chris dropped her bag and whipped off her jacket. The rest of her clothes had already gotten the destabilizer treatment from her dad, and she shifted into her catgirl form, matching the dark-skinned girl's pace and lunging at her, trying to drive her to be in between herself and one of the other X-girls. 	Moira's startled, of course, at the initial attack, but she reacts quickly. And these clearly aren't some kind of muggers; there's something particularly odd about the the one with the unusual hair. She shifts to halfform and reaches to grab the woman's arm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	She's not the strongest, toughest or most powerful, but Han knows what she's doing. They're not here to take the X-Men out - that might even be counterproductive, so she just stays in their midst, staying low, waiting for their attacks and taking her shots when she can, but mostly just trying to keep their attention. 	Jess had not much practiced fighting techniques, but she knew enough to protect herself. She went immaterial, like a hologram, and the weapons' fire passed right through her. She pointed her finger at the nearest biker and fired a blast of laser light. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
