There’s Always Another Wound to Discover
Anya took a deep breath and knocked on the door to her sister's room. This wasn't going to be easy, but it had to be done. She had to talk to Eliza. It would be better coming from her than Eliza finding out about it in another way. Anya just wished she didn't feel like she was about to destroy the bond she had with her sister.

	Eliza opened the door. Anya caught her at a good time actually. She had just finished some last minute gift wrapping and she had been putting some other things up. "Anya! "It's a hazard area," she said with a nod. She sighed. "Look, there's no easy way to bring this up or tell you this." Anya paused, trying to figure out how to put this. "This past summer, right around the time you got here and before I started dating Steve...Iason...me...well we had a fling. We weren't keeping a secret, but we didn't exactly broadcast it either. I wanted to tell you before you found out from someone else and had the wrong idea."

"Oh," Eliza says going very quite. She is stunned but had no idea how to say anything else. Then she didn't know what to feel because she felt like she shouldn't be jealous. She and Iason had only recently gotten together after dancing around it for more than a month.

They almost hooked up around Labor Day. She knew that Anya would have been involved with ,no had her fling with him before that. Eliza's mind just races as she tries to come to terms with it.

"Anya. I have a bottle of vodka in my desk and two glasses. Could you pour me some? I need to think. Clear my head."

"I... I know? I mean I'm happy you told me. It's just not something I want to think about," Eliza says with a slight blush. "I've never even slept with someone before. And I wasn't even interested in him until I wasn't in shock over being here. It took me months to be okay with dating because I was afraid of letting go of home."

Se tugs her legs up close to her body. "He's great too. You know? I feel safe with him. Like it's okay that I gave up on going back because I have other possibilities outside of the... the bonds I'm forming with you guys here."

She doesn't want to be angry at either of them.

"Yeah, I can imagine. If you for some reason start dating Halbjorn, one of the Defenders...." She offered her sister a small smile along with a glass of vodka. "I wish I could make this easier for you."

Anya took a sip from her glass. "He is great. Very sweet and yes, he makes a person feel really safe. I want the two of you to be happy and not have this be an issue."

	"Well he is cute," Eliza teases. Then takes the vodka getting ready to either nurse it or down it. "I don't think I'm bothered. Shocked that we have such similar taste. But it's like this. "Of course," Eliza says before downing the vodka in one go. "If it came between any of you guys or him... I'd choose you. As much as I want to claim I can be loyal to a guy.... Family first."

She knows it's true. Her family comes before anything. "And next time... if there is which I totally doubt since you're in love with Steve right now, don't be shy. I'll listen to you and be fair. Your my sister. That means a lot to me."
