Eli:

3. Who are/were your parents?

Areslashwere? Well I don't know what they were before I was born or anything. For all I know, my mother was a beatnik chick who sat around in coffee shops reading poetry in nothing but culottes and long ironed black hair. I don't want to think about that anymore. Anyway. Who they are, I know, unless we're getting metaphysical or some nanabullshit like that, which my mother would totally love, and so I'm not doing that.

My mother's name is Charlotte. She's a psychiatrist and she really likes wearing white suits and light colors. I think it makes her look kind of icy, but maybe that's the point. She's not exactly a mom sort of person. I could never imagine snuggling up to her or anything like that. Ever. She does well enough though, I guess. She has her good points.

My dad's name is Henry. He's a real estate tycoon, and I'm not using that term loosely. I don't really remember much of him from my childhood because he worked most of the time. These days I only go home for holidays or whatever, so I guess that's long enough for him to come out and eat dinner with us. Sometimes he tries to be my friend and honestly it kind of terrifies me.

86. What is your greatest weakness?

Well, that depends on what you're talking about. Tall guys, apparently. Johnny Cash. Nice suits. Nachos. Cinnamon bears. Pot. I guess... I mean I guess if I'm like, totally fucking honest... love. Shut up.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?

What the fuck kind of bullshit question is that? Why does there have to be, like, one most important person? Why can't there be two? Are you fucking kidding me? Bullshit. If I just have to pick one, I'm not answering because somehow it's going to get back to them and then it will only stir up more shit and NO THANK YOU.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?

Honestly, I think it was when I walked in and Nico was bleeding to death on the floor. I totally thought he was going to die right there before the ambulance got there. I seriously think that scared me even more than when I found out I only had thirty days to live. How fucked up is that?

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?

Obviously. They already have. Tennessee's the first line of defense, Nico's got his back. No doubt about it.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.

Based on previous experience, I would sit around, drink beer, look at pictures, and cry like a bitch. You'd probably do the same.

38. What is your best memory?

Shoot. Just one? What is this "just one" bullshit? Um. Shoot. Okay, I'm going to go with Valentine's day. The ring.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

If anyone says they don't, they're a goddamn liar.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.

Um. Kay. Well, I'm just shy of six feet, about 155. I'm white. Caucasian. Whatever. I've got these annoying-ass freckles. I've got dirty-blonde hair that's really curly most of the time, and kind of gray-blue eyes. I hate shoes. I love hoodies and shorts. Ummm. No tattoos, because I haven't thought of anything I want to permanently stain my body with yet. I have scars from various surgeries and other stuff. I guess that's it. I'm sure as fuck hotter than you, though.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?

Gabriel Fucking Rossetti because he's the lowest, sleaziest motherfucker who ever crawled around this earth, and if he ever lays a hand on Tennessee again, I'm going to have my lawyers on him faster than he can say cannelloni.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

Some days, I would like to believe.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

Made someone believe that they wanted me.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read?

Oh, I love to read. I read many things, but I especially enjoy the works of Horace Walpole, Anne Radcliffe, Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, Polidori, and anything that might make me shiver.

91. Do you like yourself?

No. I'm sorry, I don't. Will anyone else be reading this?

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

I'm very quiet. I like to be with myself, or with one other person. More than that makes me uncomfortable and nervous.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?

Can I say that it is myself? There are many reasons. It would make me uncomfortable to write them all.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?

I really love books. I think they're very entertaining. I also like music-- classical, or the certain types of current music that catch my fancy. I like most of Nico's music. I enjoy older movies and frightening movies (or both at the same time, for that matter). As far as art goes, I enjoy things that are a bit dark and mysterious, with a good deal of shadow in them.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?

I loved playing hide and seek, but I could only do that at recess. Frances and John didn't let many friends come over because we were too noisy. I would also tell stories, or write them down. I read a lot as a child, and would daydream quite often.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?

I try not to be offended, but I dislike it when people are rude or impolite. Do you mean shocked in a bad way? Because I'm often shocked by things like gifts and affection, but it's generally pleasant.

42. What are your religious views?

I believe in heaven and hell, but I've been told that I will go to neither place.

Charlie:

86. What is your greatest weakness?

oh jeez. CHERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP ICE CREAM. hahaha! (actually in total and complete boyscout honesty it's probably nicci, even more than tommy, but shhhhh don't tell nicci that. he'll get an even bigger head than he already has.)

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?

of course i want to say my parents dying, but if that hadn't happened, i never would have met nicci or tommy or neftali or lu or jean or any of them, and i don't know if i could live without them anymore. i love my parents big big big as the sky, but i think that that needed to happen so i could love other people too. do you know what i mean?

16. What is your earliest memory?

i was in my crib crying, and my mom came into my room and picked me up and sang me this lullaby called lonesome cowboy. i sing that to lu now, and nicci sometimes when he's sick.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?

when i left my aunt's house. i didn't know where i was going or what i was going to do and i was so so scared she was going to find me and hit me.

43. What are your political views?

yes? hahaha! i don't read the newspaper, but sometimes i watch the news with tommy. i don't really know, though. my views are whatever his are! gay marriage for everyone too!

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?

love and friends and i have both! yaaaaay!

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?

oh, sometimes i get so so so SO shy, but you just have to get over things like that. it helps if i'm with someone, though, and then i can just pretend it's me and that person and we can be weird and crazy and fun at everyone!

Gabe:

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

when i was a very young child, i wanted to be my father when i grew up. i wanted to wear brown shoes like him and glasses like him, and sit at a big desk and write with a black pen. after that, i suppose i wanted to become an artist.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?

i try not to, though i think everyone carries them whether they want to or not. i have a bias against men who hit their wives, against mothers who abandon their children, against anyone who thinks that they're better than someone else because of the color of their skin or their sexuality. so yes, i suppose i do.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?

hans.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?

i'm more likely to hang back on my own than join a group at all. i tend to prowl around the edges of the pack and pick off one or two people if i want someone to share my time with.

86. What is your greatest weakness?

humanity.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?

maliciously hurt another living being-- whether that be physically, or crushing a spirit, or taking something that was never meant to be theirs.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

i've been told i do, yes. i chew on my fingernails, and i bite the dry skin from my lips. i also leave butter knives on the edge of the sink instead of putting them in the bottom of them and i generally only drink most of a glass of water and then pour the last drops in the sink. this bothers hans. it used to, anyway. and i rarely wear shoes. never when i'm painting.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?

hans. it was once my sister, but she's gone now. perhaps it would be hans even if christina were still here. hans is everything to me. that beautiful boy is the reason i breathe.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?

loving and being loved in return. finding someone or something to fill the gaps inside of you and make you whole and complete.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?

i think i mentioned before that i generally prefer to keep to myself, or with only a few others. why, though, i'm not sure. i think i just prefer the intimacy of it-- connection and a certain kind of stripped honesty that comes with personal interaction. but when not even that appeals to me, i keep to myself and my own mind. there are things to learn there as well.

Zelda:

38. What is your best memory?

oooooh my stars. i don't think I could sooner pick a favorite star in the sky. i don't even get this narrowed down any? like it's not even a best memory of a person or an event or my favorite song or anything? jeez. well, okay. the first one that came to my mind was this time back when I was a kid, and I was over at my friend carrie's house, and we were sitting on her porch eating bomb pops in bare feet and swimming suits. i had a purple and pink one-piece with a bow on the back and i felt so so pretty in it. we didn't care what we looked like, or what people thought of us, and absolutely nothing in the world was more important than those bomb pops. we were totally carefree. we were kids. that's a good memory.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?

what makes you think i've ever been kissed? i'm innocent and white as the driven snow. okay, fine, just kidding. his name was kevin and he had dark hair and i had the biiiiiiggest crush on him. it was under the slide on the playground and we got married a few days later, but it didn't work out. he left me for mallory beamer because she had a retainer, and apparently that was sexy somehow. men.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?

ummmm, is this in the strictest confidence? his name is scott fitzgerald, and he's the most important person in my life because he's half of me, and some day we're going to get married and have a dog and eat waffles on sunday mornings. i don't think i could remember to breath without him anymore, even if i wanted to, which i don't. ever.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

wish i could say no.

86. What is your greatest weakness?

oof. i think that depends on definitions or something. like there are things that make me go weak and then there are things that i do when i'm weak. i don't know. i guess... myself, probably. i'm my own greatest weakness, because i'm pretty damn flawed once you get down to it. ugh. i don't like this question. moving on.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?

oh, i so have. and i don't mean that i've been having babies or anything, but i've certainly been building up a family for myself with friends and things. and i love them. i'm closer to them than i am my blood relatives, for sure. if we're talking about baby-making, though, no i haven't. not yet. but i will, you mark my words. maybe not having babies for a while, but the fitzgeralds, even if it's just me and scott, will be a force to be reckoned with.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?

i want to dance on a big stage in front of people and have every eye on me. and i want scott to be there, and my friends to be there, and my mom and dad to be there without me even reminding them of it, and when i'm done i want there to be absolute silence because no one can break my spell enough to clap.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

hell yes i do. i would give you a million dollars to stand in my shoes and look at that man and tell me you don't believe in it too.

42. What are your religious views?

i saw a church once.

89. Are you generally organized or messy?

that weirdly depends on what i'm doing. my room can get pretty messy sometimes, but i'm really good at organizing things like parties and charities and stuff. weird, right?

Dante:

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

My pretty girl. For once in my life, I'm not saying that for attention or glory. In fact, I'd really rather she not know that.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)

I don't really think of my self as an adventurer. If I do something reckless, it's usually to prove that I could or to upset my father. I'm sure he knows why I do it. That's why I'm here. Also I think that I would do something adventurous if it meant saving someone I love, like Ellee or Oscar, and I had no other choice.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?

Her name was Giselle and we were five. Perhaps we were six. She was my cousin, though in my defense it was not by blood.

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?

Dear Dante:

Please, for the love of god, figure out what you're doing with your life instead of just sitting around expecting it to just happen.

Love,
God, as far as you're concerned

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

Poorly. My father and I still don't speak to one another. My mother and I got along alright, but of course she's dead and didn't argue much.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?

I choose not to show my feelings to others, though I often share my thoughts. The two are not the same. There are some who see everything, though.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

I believe I do, yes.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I honestly have no idea. Perhaps in new shoes.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?

My father, for every reason you could imagine.

60. How close are you to your family?

This seems to be a theme. No, I am not. No, I never will be. No, I am not sorry for it.

98. What three words best describe your personality?

Cooler. Than. Yours. Does that count?

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?

Shoot, anyone who's in ten feet of me knows my thoughts and feelings. I ain't quiet about that kinda stuff. No use in it.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

When my prince charming comes riding up on a big horse, then I'll believe.

11. What does your voice sound like?

What the hell kind of a question is that? I don't know. It sounds like a VOICE. Probably like most other teenage black girls around here, I guess. I mean, it doesn't sound like any damn Hansel and Gretel witch or like Darth Vader or anything. What a weird-ass question.

72. What is your favorite color?

Black, baby. Ain't no other color to be.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The man who once had a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal," and I add to that that all women are created equal as well.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?

Sitting around watching movies, talking to Willa. Why, you wanna go out?

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

I would die for equality. I would die for knowledge. I would die for truth. If I could lay down on the ground and have my blood drained from my veins and watch the world go to gray and know that because of that sacrifice everyone on this earth would be seen as unique and beautiful sisters and brothers, then I would gladly do so.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?

I refuse to step foot in an Old Navy. No goddamn way.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?

Start out the day as optimistic, generally end it as pessimistic, and then start all over again. I'll stay optimistic when someone gives me a reason to.

Hook:

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

No allergies, no diseases. I suppose my only weakness would be my dislike for the sight of my own blood. It makes my stomach turn.

71. What is your most treasured possession?

Myself. Whoever tells you differently is lying. If they didn't have themselves, they wouldn't have their love or their cat or whatever nonsense they're telling you.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.

I'm very good at dialog, at making arguments that allow others to see my opinions, at anticipating the needs of others. I have skills in things such as swimming, sailing, the piano. I'm very good at History and at research and earning my grades, and for those grades that turn out less than they should be, I'm very good at speaking with my professors to change them. I suppose that goes back to making good arguments, doesn't it? I'm an excellent leader and I feel that people recognize that about me even without knowing me well. Many people come to me for guidance or assistance, and I am always so pleased to help them. I'm sorry, I've forgotten the other part of the question.

42. What are your religious views?

It's important for a man to believe in something and to have some sort of convictions, even if that belief is in himself.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

Of course I enjoy spending quiet evenings with myself, but I do try to keep up old acquaintances, as well as make new connections. I'm no shrinking violet, I'm sure you'll find.

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?

It has made me who I am.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?

I would like to be admired. But I ask you to find someone that wouldn't like such a thing.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.

I live alone in an attic apartment not far from campus. There's ivy growing up the side of the home and a long staircase. I think it rather suits me well. You're, of course, welcome to stop by. I'm not always in, but you may leave me a note.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

I find myself to be respectable, and assume that others show that respect. If they don't, then it's rather foolish of them.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

If I changed something, I wouldn't know who I was. I hope it's not arrogant of me to say that I would never change anything.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

i would go to extremes for self-preservation, but i obviously wouldn't DIE for it since that would be sort of against the point and i'm really not one of those "you have to die to live" sort of people who are all metaphysical and bullshit because no, you don't have to die to live you have to live to live, you pretentious fuck.

11. What does your voice sound like?

whatever i want it to.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?

my face, my hands, and the shape of my body. what, is that more than one?

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

none that i know of, though it's possible i have some half-siblings somewhere.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?

i'm usually on the other side.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

a fox.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.

no one significant.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?

a pulse, a body, long legs, hair i can hold on to, and a mouth that i want to see moaning my name.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?

i'm prejudiced against assholes who ask too many questions.

71. What is your most treasured possession?
