Rider knew Romy was dating Walden or whatever, but he wasn't going to let that get in the way. Romy still had sex with him before. He didn't see why Walden living in London should change that. He took out some cold chicken, sitting at the kitchen island. "I'll feed you and we'll be friends from now on."

Romy could hear Rider talking to someone when she came back home from seeing Walden. Which she thought was odd. Who could Rider be talking to? She chewed at her bottom lip for a moment, then followed his voice into the kitchen. She was amused when she found him with her cat.

"Are we not friends now?" Romy asked with a grin, walking over to sit beside him. "Are you trying to steal my cat, Rider?"

Rider had nobody to talk to but the cat. Pyxis had dumped him and now she was too busy with Walden and her new boyfriend to be his friend. Romy was always off being a girl or being with Walden. Romy laughed at that. "I don't know. Maybe." She kissed his cheek and leaned into his touch, closing her eyes. She loved Rider. She really did. And she missed him. But, she'd been trying to be a proper girlfriend.
