At the SHIELD medcenter
Qamar lies in the bed, silent. The machines connected to him beep rhythmically, reporting that, yes, his body still lives, even after the savage beating he received at the hands of Ganymede.

But he's not getting up any time soon.

He may never wake up. He may wake up tomorrow. The doctors don't know.

His breathing is shallow but rhythmic. His eyes are closed.

They may never open again.

	Aleks is part of medical. Granted, its psychology, but he still volunteered to be on call should the situation change. When it didn't right away, he just made sure they'd notify him if it did, and came to quietly wish the patient luck and say, not so much goodbye, but farewell for now. (Reply to this)

Sammy held down a chair in the corner of Qamar's room and waited for something to happen. Anything. A twitch or a blink. She was also holding on to a lot of rage and rejecting every attempt to oust her from the room before she was ready to leave. When the emotion faded enough, she would merely be angry and begin plotting to put the Masters of Evil in the Vault.

When she was ready, Qamar's things would go into storage. She would review team files along with prospective other possibilities with one of her parents or Dum Dum and decide who had the ability and power to deal with another situation like this one. They'd been sent without adequate backup or personnel to handle what should've been an easy mission.

And one day she will arrive to spend time with Qamar and find him gone. No one will be able to tell her where he'd been moved to or why, only that it had been done on orders from the head office.
