Algrim (open to Hal)
The approach of Algrim was known well in advance. Svalin wasn't going to take chances and be surprised again. She had sentries posted outside the city and they would provide early warning to a new threat. A new threat was approaching the city and word had reached Svalin. Thankfully there was a little time before Algrim reached the city.

Svalin knew she couldn't defeat Algrim. Her father had told her tales of his fights with the being and knew how powerful Algrim was. Thor could face him, but he was still unconscious and her brother was off fighting the Hulk somewhere. If only Hal were here Svalin would have some hope. Some Goddess of Hope she was. Who had ever heard of a Goddess of Hope having none herself?

Thinking about Hal led her mind down a path to a possible solution.

She handed the throne of Asgard to Aridis despite many objections of her mothers and Balder. Svalin had to leave to save the realm. She jumped on Tryggvi and flew off to find her brother.

	Thankfully, finding them, at least from the air, isn't hard. There's a long trail of destruction going through a forested area, into a rockier region. Following the signs of the battle proves rather simple - and they can be heard well before they're visible. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Now came the hardest part.

Svalin had to get Hal away from the Hulk and not have him kill her in the process. She didn't exactly have time to bring him out of his berserker rage before getting him away from the Hulk. There was also avoiding the Hulk in the process.

Svalin heard the battle before she saw either of them. When they finally did come into view Svalin cringed at the sight of her brother. He was a bloody mess from head to toe.

Svalin spurred Trygvvi on and steered him down in a dive toward her brother.

	Halbjorn doesn't even notice Svalin, the rage keeping him tunnel visioned on to his current opponent, trading growls, roars and punches alike. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin approached keeping Hal on her right. If she was correct about this, she'd need the extra durability of her artificial arm to do deal with her brother. Tryggvi dived and when Svalin was close enough she grabbed at the handle of his axe while he had it in mid-swing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin held onto the axe out of sheer stubborness, but the backhand connected and half-knocked her out of the saddle. Svalin dug her heels into Tryggvi and he leaped into the air, bringing Hal along with them. "Halbjorn!" she yelled hoping to get through the red haze of his current state. He's dragged skyward, the Hulk getting in a couple swings to use him like a pinata - but they're clear before long. At least til the goliath leaps after them, which likely won't be long.

Halbjorn is already starting to pull himself up towards here, face fixed in a snarl. At least til she yells. The haze isn't cleared yet - but there's some sign of recognition, and he doesn't attack.

Svalin urged Tryggvi on. She knew the Hulk could cover a lot of distance with one leap. They couldn't afford to be caught, but she had to keep the Hulk following them. And of course she couldn't let her brother stay in this state.

"Asgard needs thee, brother," she said. "I need thee." She prayed to Odin that she was getting through to him.

The Hulk took a swipe and hit her mount's hind quarters. Tryggvi was knocked sideways and it took all that Svalin had to stay on and keep a hold of her brother.

	The critical moment of surprise has passed. There a few moments, when the mount is hit, and nearly loses the air that he growls back at the Hulk - but his sister keeps her grip, and eventually, he pulls himself up onto Trygvi, not managing speech yet, but at least showing signs of recognition. "Hold on, brother," she said. "We hath to lead the Hulk back toward the city. Another foe threatens Asgard and mayhap we wilt get lucky and get the Hulk to fight him."

It was a plan with a slim chance of succeeding, but the odds were against them right now and any plan with a small chance of success was better than none.

Tryggvi flew like an arrow toward the city, but the Hulk took a leap at them and landed right in front of them. The horse veered to the right and tried to avoid the big green monster.

	"He ist fast - Trygvi wilt ne'er avoid him long carrying both of us. Where must I go?" He knows the risks exposing himself while exhausted, but he also trusts his sister to know what she's doing. "Nay! Stay with me," she ordered. "We wilt make it." She refused to let him go in his condition. Her stomach twisted at the thought of losing him. Too much had already been lost.

Tryggvi managed to avoid the Hulk's swipe and make it past him. His wings beat faster and harder in response to the threat.

Svalin threw up an illusion of them on the other side of the Hulk. It was a desperate measure, but at this point desperate measures were all that they had.

Halbjorn nods, and drops from the horse, launching a large rock towards the Hulk to snag his attention back. He trusts his sister's plan absolutely - but he won't let her sacrifice herself and the plan to save him. Besides, he's pretty sure they can draw the other two together. If he can survive to make it. Now he just trusts Svalin will trust him to bait the Hulk while she makes sure Algrim is where he needs to be.

	Svalin growled and almost steered Tryggvi back to pick Halbjorn up. If he survived this she'd kill him herself. She kept Tryggvi moving toward Algrim's position. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He loves his sister. He trusts her planning and tactical skills - but most horses can barely carry him at all. A pegasi carrying him and his sister isn't going to escape the Hulk - and he figures she'll realize that later.

Besides, exhausted as he is, he can run.

He flings a couple tons of rock at the Hulk to draw his attention again, then runs, trusting Svalin to handle her part of her plan, and just trying to get to the rendezvous spot.

	It didn't take too long for Svalin to reach Algrim. She steered Tryggvi toward him and when they were close enough she took a swing with her staff. It connected with Algrim and got his attention. He charged and Tryggvi started back toward Hal. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Hal has taken a few more hits, mostly exchanges of multi-ton missiles back and forth, but he managed to keep going. He can see his sister up ahead, and moves for her - not to get on the horse. He's already noted the difficulty there, but he's at least looking for somewhere he can duck out of the way if he can briefly get out of the Hulk's line of sight. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thankfully Algrim wasn't able to cover ground like the Hulk, so Svalin was able to keep well ahead of him. She saw her brother coming at them and she urged Tryggvi onward. As soon as she was close enough she reached down to grab him to pull him up. She didn't want him getting caught between the Hulk and Algrim. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Halbjorn sees his sister coming and waves her away as best he can. Trygvi isn't going to be able to evacuate with the Hulk still focused on him carrying two. Nothing against the Valkyrie's steeds - they're the best Asgard has, but its not meant to carry two, especially when one is Halbjorn's size.

Instead, he slams his hands downward, cratering the earth to drop himself out of sight. With Algrim and the Hulk both looking for a fight, he figures they're more likely to end up seeing each other rather than searching for him - and he can find Svalin again... if he's right.

	Her brother was going to hear about this. After. Tryggvi swerved out of the way and the Hulk and Algrim collided. The impact was as loud as a clap of thunder. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He has no doubt he'll hear about it later. But he's also quite sure they'd never have made it - he normally can't ride at all. As soon as he hears the crashing get some distance away, he crawls free and towards cover. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
