[long, long, yesterday when the sun was high up in the sky and Izuna was still alive, back when he was still young and more importantly, alive. did I say alive? because yeah, not dead.]

[comes back to their hotel room they have been staying at with a huge grin and the indiscriminate brown paper bag under his arm, the same hand sporting another bag that has a nice aroma coming from it. took a couple of guesses to get back here since they move around so much, going to previous hotels by mistake.] Aniki? [calls out and looks around. maybe he is out.] Aniki? [puts the bags down on the cheap wooden table the place supplied and first goes to the bathroom to look for him because let's face it, there is a bathroom, a main living area and a bed. not many places to look.]

[looks through the bills, expecting them to be fake since they were lost so quickly-- not that he doubts baby brother's skill-- so slips one bill out, holding it to the light and looking over it.] ... What an idiot. [smiles, looking at Izuna proudly.] With the money I'm about to make from this artillery deal... We could treat ourselves to something nice, for once. Let's keep this money secret. If my boss found out... he would want his cut, as usual. You're not a part of it, so... if he doesn't find out, we'll keep quiet.

Then we can use them for target practice because that is all that they are good for. [wants to sigh but needs to remain positive for him. all this moving around, not too sure if they are going to eat one day or not, having to make sure they weren't being watched... one day, he hoped it would end and they can live like normal people. not that their life ever was normal.] I want the master bedroom.

[quickly goes over and helps carry it to the door, putting it down on the ground. needs to learn to be a man like his brother, big, strong, tough but still can't hold himself back from throwing his arms around his chest and giving a tight hug.] Be safe, okay? Come back to me. Wait. [pulls back and takes off the necklace he has, a keepsake where he didn't know where in his childhood he got it from, just that he has always had it. puts it around his brother's neck.] I'll be waiting.
