Waiting for the end to come, wishing I had strength to stand
[Chase couldn't remember the last time he had hurt this much properly, perhaps the last blow to the head by whatever that creature was had given him a concussion. It was the last thing he needed on top of two broken ribs and collarbone, the cuts all over his sprained (if not fractured) forearms leaving a clear trail of where he had been. Hopefully it wouldn't lead that thing toward his current location, his left leg was in no condition to run being practically torn apart like it was and leaving more blood.

Oh, yes. He probably was concussed, blood from a head injury he hadn't felt started to cloud his vision in his left eye. Chase lifted an arm to wipe it away and his balance overshot itself, he started leaning toward the wall and hit it hard enough with his shoulder to draw a grunt of pain from him. Luckily there was a bench there when his leg gave out though it hurt to sit, and he couldn't sit long. Chase had to get to the infirmary, had to get bandaged up to get Seren from daycare. But thoughts of Seren brought that young Kanda to mind.

Sorrow and failure blinded him from his physical pain for a moment, he had to go back in or send (several) someone(s) in his place to find the boy. He couldn't stay in that darkened, death-trap of a hallway and certainly not by himself!]

Damn it... [His head lightly hits the wall, throat sore from yelling.]

	[Consider that one given and more if it looked like he needed it? Chase tugs Allen's hand, wanting him up in the bed beside him. Doesn't care about his injuries, just wants someone he cares about close. Right now his thoughts aren't clear enough to remember they aren't like they were.] Where's Seren? What if he hurt him? ...But he could hear it in Chase, wanting someone near, so he carefully moves to sit on the edge of the bed, before leaning down to press a very light and careful kiss to the Crow's forehead.] Sorry, I... I didn't want to leave you.

[Bad Allen. Need to eat! And injuries still or not in the DR he will insist Allen feeds come the second full week of August.

There's enough room, it's a large hospital bed considering Chase's stupid height. As for the pain, the morphine keeps him from feeling much of it unless something that hurts is purposefully touched. Chase shifts his hand to hold one of Allen's, eyes closing as his forehead is kissed.] 's fine, so long as she's still safe.

[Allen will have to drink it all even after he feeds from Chase. But he won't have to lick the bowl clean.

He sees it when he opens his eyes again, pulling his hand from Allen's to wipe it away gently. Then his hand falls to land on Allen's leg, a heavy and warm weight.] I know. I won't get inta any trouble 'til 'm healed, promise.

[Shakes his head.] He won't take yer help, donna like Allens much. Ya need ta stay safe, donna want'im goin after ye.

Busted up or not he is still determined to fight, and at least he's not pushing Allen away and demanding he go take care of Seren. Even though the clarity is coming back to him that they're no longer together he hasn't begun to shut off.] I do.

[Chase takes in a deep breath - or tries to anyway, it gets cut off with a cough and he tries again, a shorter breath - and lets it out.] When I go ta help'im, Allen.

[Chase untangles his hand from Allen's and threads it into his hair at the back of his head, keeping him close enough long enough that he can nose back at the vampire.] I won't... I know how ta fight against Fourteenth... We're jus' retrievin'is arm.

[In one small way he's admitting to Allen that he was the one that made Whitey lose his, but he only had a hand in it, Fourteenth was the one that tore it off.] 'm support only.

[Brushing a small kiss against Allen's cheek.] Donna worry.

[It's not like Allen didn't know that all along, though. He'd always known... from the moment it happened, he'd known. It was everyone else that refused to admit it.

But he draws in a shaky breath when Chase kisses his cheek, tilting his head a little so that their lips brush together.]

Chasing after that small little kiss but keeps his head on the pillow. Now isn't the time for things like that and he falls behind a wall a little, shouldn't be kissing Allen at all.]

'll let ya know before we go, tha' help? [Then Allen can follow at a respectable distance, get them help if they needed it. The tears are cold on his cheeks but he simply noses at Allen reassuringly, he might get hurt or die again but he'll come back to you.]

Which is why he's catching him in a proper kiss this time around - though relatively innocent.]</small>

[Moves his hand, stroking Allen's hair a little comfortingly since he can't do much else, but the motion starts to tire him after a little and he lets it rest on the vampire's leg again. There are no plans to ever drop Chase, he will come back.

Makes a surprised noise into the kiss but kisses him back, keeping it light. If Allen deepens it he'll find a few cuts inside his mouth that have stopped bleeding.]

	That's right. So you need to come back okay. And you need to heal quickly.<. [Nosing back at him just barely, before he tilts his head so that his forehead lands on the pillow beside Chase's head.
