I don't know you, but we're both friends with [info]sparks. I think the way you set this up is really neat and detailed. I'm not going to steal your ideas, mainly because I'm too lazy to re-do my thing (haha), but if I do it next year I might! =)

I'm watching A Mighty Heart right now. I'm only up until the part where they get the e-mail and don't know if the photos are real or not, but I really like it. I also really liked Fracture, as well. I haven't seen (or wanted to, I'm really picky about movies unfortunately) any of the others, BUT I did want to see the last two on the list! You gave them good ratings so I'm going to check them out.

I don't know if you've seen or read any of these, but just in case:

Movies:
Juno - It's getting tons of positive reviews and everyone's freaking over it like they did with Eternal Sunshine, but it's a really great movie and I love Ellen Page.
Stay - It's a few years old, and I thought I'd hate it, but I actually loved it.
Enchanted - It's still in theaters here, and it's about cartoon fairytale characters who step into the "real world". It sounds cheesy and it's mainly for kids, but I thought the idea was really cute, and Amy Adams won my heart, haha.

This comment is super long! I'm sorry. I was going to add you back on GJ, but I never did. :(

Crap, I forgot books!

Flowers for Algernon - Most people read it in middle/high school, but I just read it at the end of last year and it's a great book.
A Certain Slant of Light - YA Fic, but I loved it.

I tried respinding to this when I responded to your other comment but my computer/my Internet connection/ Scribbld decided that the page wouldn't load. I wouldn't put it past any of the three of them :P I went to sleep after that and I just woke up, so here ya go ...

I've never read a lot of the books that are typically assigned to middle-school or high-school students (because my middle school was lame and didn't assign books and I homeschooled myself in high school so I got to pick the books I read). That's why I just got around to reading The Catcher in the Rye. I also want to read The Great Gatsby, 1984 and a few others that you'd think everyone would've read by my age. I'll definitely add your suggestions to my list. Thanks!

What's YA Fic?

Young Adult Fiction! I'm reading a lot but I can't afford any new books so my friends mail me theirs and most of them read YA fic, haha. 1984 is good but slow and kind of hard to get into. Fahrenheit 451 is another really good book!

I've seen you post on Liz's entries! We should be friends, you seem awesome.

I remember when the whole Daniel Pearl thing was happening. I was following it in the news and then seeing it play out and how the people closest to him reacted, it really moved me.

I saw Juno right at the end of last year. I watched tons of movies in December. Just my luck, right before starting this thing. lol. Anyway, I loooved Juno. I actually want to see it again badly. And I never rewatch movies. I'm extremely analytical and am very intentive when I watch films, so I get nothing from rewatching them, but I find myself really wanting to see Juno again.

Enchanted is one that I really want to see. It's the type of movie I might typically like, but from the trailer it - especially James Marsden and Amy Adams - actually appeals to me a lot. It seems like one of those that appeal to adults too, with jokes that will be totally over kids' heads, like "Shrek." I haven't seen the third installment yet, but I loved the first two.

Okay! I'll add you. =)

It's really sad. One of the guys they were questioning (The Sheikh Omar guy) just said that he thinks he's dead.

Juno was great. My boyfriend hasn't seen it, but he really wants to so I'm gonna end up seeing it again, too!

I loved Enchanted. I went to watch it just as something to do while I was waiting for my friend to get off of work (He works at a theater, and I'll be working there soon, too, hopefully, so I see everything for free, haha), and I ended up loving it!

The first Shrek is my favorite. The third one wasn't too great, but still entertaining. The baby Shreks are so cute!

Aw. It really is just so heart-wrenching. Even knowing how it turns out, sense it's a true story, you are still wishing or hoping for a different ending, you know?

It was my dream when I was like 12 to own a movie theater and just sit in it all day watching movies! I really love going to the movies, the whole experience.

I won't go out of my way to see the thirs Shrek then. If it falls in my lap I'll give it a watch. But I'll definitely make sure to see Enchanted!
