I thought if I did this then... things could go back to the way they were before and we could just hate each other again, hopefully you realised that you needed me in some way too. The night at the fountain, I couldn't bear to see you upset, you looked excited to meet this person who finally wanted to be with you and it wasn't real. I feel really guilty and it's my own fault, what I am more concerned with is fixing this.... but if you don't think that can be done then you have a right to walk away. I won't hold it against you.

Fixing what? The rivalry? Being better than me all the time? That's not a friendship, Hashirama. That's... I don't know. I don't know anymore, it's not as simple as it used to be. I thought, maybe, if I got a girlfriend and so did you we could just... be normal. Maybe I wouldn't be so obsessed with every move you made if I had someone else to focus on. But in the end, even my girlfriend ended up being you. Everything I do, it all comes back to you. That's not normal.
