One of the private lines rang at the consulate. Giovanna answered the phone.

"Genoshan Consulate. Giovanna Bennet speaking. How can I help you?"

Angelo arrives several yards away from the diner, a spot he had deemed least susceptible to colliding with anything or anyone. As soon as the momentary disorientation of the long jump passes, and he gets his bearings, he makes a beeline for the diner.

Good heavens, a diner.

This was not the sort of peril he dreamed of rescuing a fair damsel from, but it was valid peril.

"We are hap-" Angelo begins, then shakes off some residual strain and continues. "Happy to receive you at any time, Miss Charlotte."

He eyes the burger with even greater contempt, as he evaluates his recovery time, wanting the trip to be as smooth as possible for Charlotte.

"Twenty...three minutes." He states, after some thought. "I've already begun dinner plans that should be more to your liking." He gives her a shining smile.

"And I'm sure your father will understand your reasons. Andrew is wonderful with that."

Andrew settles in, waiting for tea before going into anything beyond basic pleasantries. Tea is important for these things. Eases the atmosphere, he's always thought.

"Thank you, but... Genosha, by and large, is as unsure of what we're doing here as the world is. My grandfather disagrees with a lot of my basic principles... but has given me leave to pursue dragging Genosha into the world community, kicking and screaming, if need be, anyway." he replies, finally, once they have tea brought out.

"Just relax. Angelo loves making and serving dinner... and it gives him something to do. What brings you here?"

"Of course. It'll be great to have you." She looks at Andrew. "But we need to figure out how to handle your grandfather on this."

Gio looks earnestly to Charlotte. "I know you probably have a lot of thoughts on the subject, but just because you're a late bloomer doesn't mean your father doesn't care what happens to you. He's going to be worried." And a worried Magneto was not good.

He nods. "Proof of concept time. Gio, next chance you get when calling home, please inform your father and my grandfather that she is here... she is safe, and she will remain here. Under my protection." Emphasis both ways. She will not be going back to Genosha without his say so, and she will be protected from outside threats - and Andrew will stand up to Magneto, or the world, to prove his ideals.

"I have never believed in Xavier's blanket of secrecy, and I will not start now. I've told the world that we're here, and while we extend the olive branch that Xavier possesses, but keeps hidden... we will protect our own. My Aunt is Genoshan, that's all that matters. She is under my roof and my protection, no matter what."
