guys, honestly, i think worrying about this kind of thing is the worst thing we can do. there are good things and bad things that every comm deals with, but click is outstanding. and honestly...has the cap prevented anyone from getting in yet? is it really going to? there's always going to be removals. there's always going to be someone who joins and doesn't intro. if there were fifty people in apps right now who weren't going to get in because of comm deadweight, i'd be concerned...but i feel like...if there were fifty people in apps right now? the mods would figure out a way to get rid of some of that deadweight.

I feel bad that I've been really horrible with being active with my guy. it's been a struggle because the other half of the line I came in with is apparently DOA (sob) but I want to actually use it for character development rather than just drop him, cause I feel like this game will be a lot of fun with him, I just need to figure out how to do that and be more active :|

speaking as someone who worked hard to get their character the interaction and friendships they have, it takes a lot of work. you have to maniacally comment almost everything and keep up comment threads to the best of your and your char's ability and make random customs for people you think your char would get along with. you have to make your updates substantial to give characters a few different openings for things to comment on. it's not easy and i won't pretend it is, but it's worth it for the sls and friends my char wound up with. it just takes more work than at most pb comms.

i know we have some people who barely show and are hogging faces/spots, but guys, there HAS to be a cap eventually. people say they have trouble remembering who is who role/music wise now? imagine if we just kept adding and adding members. it would be nuts.

i think a good judge would be to have everyone give the mod links to 3 comment threads whether they're in their journal or another char's or a subcomm they've been part of in the last 30 days, each with a different character. if your character doesn't talk to 3 other characters over the course of a month, i wouldn't consider you active.

all this re: activity reminded me that i'm not on the friends add list. :( i changed my un and didn't think to comment the mod about it when i did it and now my old inactive un isn't working. because i was dumb. hoping that gets fixed in the next round of adds.

make sure you put the global head in and then you just have to take the bits and pieces that are necessary and not the actual journal code.
