It's been a couple of weeks. Tess has been impressed by how quickly Steven's adjusted. Still, idle hands...

Tess's came through the communication system to Steven. "Flash? Gym, please. Now."

The leaning is just cruel - and, per their previous conversation, just plain distracting. First to lose really did gain an edge.

Enough that he loses track of sequence. Its not a big mistake, and there's every chance her renewed attack would put him right back on edge anyway... but he still loses track of which game he's playing, and plays a scenario from last game, leaving him with less than a second to make a move... and even confronted with the board, its the wrong move, leaving her an open avenue to his queen if she sees it.

	"Inevitable." he replies, and just tips his king over. "I concede rather than prolong the misery." he adds. He disappears for the briefest of moments to recollect himself and reset his scenarios. 	Tess is going to let herself enjoy the view for a moment, although she quickly gets possession of her face back. And her eyes are mostly on his moves as he makes them. Mostly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Time to make sure the distraction is one way. He not only checks his moves, but steadies himself between each round. To her perceptions, he's sitting there shirtless for the most part, and maybe he plays it up just a little, maybe... but then she did the same.

For him, there's a break, and, at one point, even a chance to splash himself with cold water between moves along with analysis.

He's also seen her play twice now, so speed learning has kicked in just a little more, letting him counter her better than in first game... but its still looking somewhat grim.

	Oh, she's got no complaints for how he works it. She continues her aggressive methods, and even lets herself take a few risks -- while trying not to think about the fact that the obstacle course is waiting. And she slides her bishop over to take a piece without checking his defenses as thoroughly as usual. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He almost hesitates, thinking she might be trying to sucker him.

The difference is that he doesn't need to try and envision anything. He can check every possible next move, and verify it was an error... amazingly.

He ignores the bishop, leaving it stranded where it can't add to her defense any for at least a few moves, and sets up to take a rook instead. The queen is set up to follow.

Rather than get cocky, he's extra careful now. Having siezed a whiff of victory from the jaws of defeat, he's careful not to make any mistakes, and keep his mind on this game and this game only.

He takes the queen, then trades a knight for a rook. When he finds himself envisioning the future, easy enough to relive the moments when she was winning instead. The future will take care of itself if he takes care of the moment.

"I can see that." he replies, considering a move carefully - quite sure if anyone is capable of turning this around, its her. He tries to make sure it doesn't happen.

He breathes a sigh of relief. "If Cat sees you like that, you know she's going to be curious. Normally I wouldn't ask someone in your state of undress this, but want me to carry you to ensure we're not seen?

And just to show there's no hard feelings, you'll get your rematch whenever you want it... and can name any one condition of losing, anything, long as its fair."

He nods, with a wide grin. There's a blur, then he returns. "You're right, I've scouted out where everyone is, and the gym schedule. Its locked up." He can phase, after all.

He picks her up - careful not to take too much liberty, even if he can't entirely help groping her backside ever so slightly in the process. Had to be done.

A moment later, they're in the gym. Two moments later, there's no more obstacle course, and the parallel bars and mats are set up instead.

"Want music for your routine?"

"Music is for floor exercises, not the uneven bars," she informs him as she walks over to the bars, slowly peeling off her bra and wiggling her hips out of her underwear as she does so.

Then she faces him fully from the other side of the bars and poses for a moment before jumping into her routine.

She doesn't skimp on the somersaults, the handstands, the half-pirouettes, not even completely naked and with her firm breasts bouncing. Tess doesn't do anything by halves, and she's not going to start now just because she can't believe she's doing it... and doesn't mind.

As said, she does this the traditional way. No sound by the sound of her movements, and of her breath getting heavier.

He has seen the blush, he's seen the difficulty believing she was actually getting up to this. As such, he's all the more surprised by the sheer exhibitionism she shows... the flush, the near surprise when she isn't hesitating.

And he sees everything - and to him, its even in slow motion, able to appreciate every detail.

The fact that she's so, well, into it just somehow makes it that much better.

Other than... certain physical reactions, he tries to stay still and quiet, just audience appreciating every second of the routine as she gets far enough in to begin breathing hard... which makes even the still moments that much more interesting.

He admires the bouncing, down to the very last jiggle, all in slow motion.

Even after, he admires her form. She can feel his eyes on her, perhaps even more now than when she was lost in the routine.

Perfect.

No doubt about it. Smart, fit, beautiful... ~~naked~~

Perfect.

He moves up to her, at last, holding a towel, very conscious of her state, and, using all the Garrick will to look her in the eye.

"You kept your part of the deal... very well I might add. So... you can either put this on... probably even better than a shower curtain... or just wipe up the sweat a little, and answer me a question."

He can see it, has seen it. He thinks, anyway. She might just slap him... who knows. But he thought he saw some exhibitionist in her... and curiosity. He is sure, any admission would be tough, as strait-laced as she attempts to be. On the other hand, if he's right... it might also be somewhat liberating.

Time to find out.

He nods, keeping his tone serious and sedate, making sure she remains aware it was, indeed, an honest question.

"Then I'll make you a deal, you want to see me naked in turn, I'm not exactly shy. And, seeing as you love your roots and origins of words... gymnasium, from the Greek gumnasion, to exercise naked.

Seems fitting. When anyone else is around, anyone, we go about our normal business... but when either of us is working out... or even when you're putting me through these tests... you wear nothing but the jewelry.

In return, I don't tell a soul about this... or that... you get an appreciative audience, and I'll pretend I lost our chess game... even tell everyone else you beat me, despite my best efforts, and run any obstacle course you want wearing just the hat."

He finally lets himself smile, just a little, trying to keep it polite, and mostly keep his eyes on her face. Mostly.

He extends a hand. "I won't tell a soul if you don't. Promise. And... I'll meet you down here tomorrow morning for our workout. If you want to grab your stuff, I can take you back to your room... or you can set up an obstacle course now while we have the room to ourselves. Your choice."

	She shakes on it, then thinks. Part of her thinhks they should wait for some other time, but she...doesn't want this to be done for the day yet.
