Frowning harder and then pokes right back. Come on, quit that. Enough's enough; isn't he bothered by reflections and mirrors and not-selves enough already? He can do without you starting to poke him now.

Now he knows something has been put in his drink. After all, that's the only way to explain how this happened before.]

[The city has gone too far. First distortions of his family, taking his friends away over and over again, even changing his very life. Now, plaguing him with something so mundanely annoying?! Allen's frown grows into a scowl as he watches his mirror poke him again.

Then quick as lightning he's trying to snatch the wrist of the offending hand. In a slurred voice that sounds as annoyed as a wet cat-]

Quit it.

[If he has the wrist in question, he'll give it as a very gentle shake to drive home his point as he peers at Allen through the shaggy fall of his long bangs.]

Just as suddenly, Allen jerks back on the caught wrist, but it's more a warning and tense jerk than trying to actually break away.

Just making a point.

Though--there is shock, wariness, but a steely sort of set expression settling as well.

It's the quiet and guarded expression he gets when he has to tamp the worry back even if he's a little queasy.] You first.

[For a moment, there's just locking eyes back with a frown. It's not the most easy thing to sort through mentally when one's lacking all their faculties, really, especially when it's going along with the realization of perhaps I didn't imagine that before.

Caught between thoughtful and tense like that, still pulling back on his wrist enough to keep the tension, he pauses for a long moment.]

A little more sober, and suddenly his posture straightens--subtle, but most of the tension bleeds off with it.] Just a very good one. [The shifts in expression are watched for like a hawk and there they are. Shock at first, turning into some other form of smile. But his expression falls, sober. Way too sober as the other lets up a little. But he doesn't. His feet shift as subtly as they can.]

Or, not a fake at all. Stop and think about that.

[It's a warning sign that he's letting up. Allen never backs down.]
