1) They meet because Ash wants nothing to do with the Atlantis of his universe. They talk about the nature of magic and mysticism.

2) He talks her through how shy she is and why. They bond over senses of duty to their people and how it shapes them.

3) When an envoy from Namor tells her he requests her presence Lucas tells her she can be brave. It is not beyond her abilities.

4) When he needs someone and doesn't even know he needs them Ash appears an offers him what he needs. Friendship and her ears.

5) When she is able to leave she tells him if he needs her to look to the water, she will appear.
