1. zelda is deathly allergic to bees and has to carry and epi-pen with her in case one of the little buggars comes after her.

2. she lost her virginity in a fit of rebelliousness the night before her debutante ball because her mother was being a monster. she snuck out with some friends, got trashed, and lost it to her friend's brother in a hammock out back. sex in a hammock isn't as easy as you think it is.

3. in the realm of pierian springs, zelda has slept with the following people: scott fitzgerald, nico machiavelli, gabriel rossetti and dante alighieri. in addition, she's made out with eli stearns and has kissed whitney walters and dot parker. there are probably others, but those are the main players.

4. she has a #10 can in her closet all sealed up with her wedding plans inside, as imagined by her at the age of 12. she doesn't even remember what they are, since she's not allowed to open it until she gets engaged, so she considers them reasonably negotiable.

5. before nico machiavelli, zelda had never had someone she could actually call her boyfriend. they were all just friends with benefits.

1. hal met a girl named betty when he was traveling through france after graduating from high school. betty was an american tourist who took up with hal and the two were together for a year before betty took of with some australian asshole in thailand. hal had already bought an engagement ring.

2. he eats like a horse. not in a grain-and-oats kind of way, but in a constant kind of way. he eats a lot and he eats often and his grocery and take-out bills are a little obscene. he has a super high metabolism, though, in addition to getting exercise from running four miles a day, having a lot of sex, and being a rockstar, so it doesn't really show.

3. despite having a bunch of women who he fools around with and boucing from bed to bed, hal's kind of a romantic. if he does find a girl worth settling down for, he'd do his best to give her the world. until he got tired of her.

4. he learned how to play guitar from a guy named manuel who he ran into in spain. he doesn't actually know the corresponding note letters to the hand movements, can't read music, and never writes anything down.

5. he's smarter than he seems. at first glance he's just a dirty sexed-up alcoholic rocker, but he's actually got quite a brain on him. he reads a lot of philosophy and history and has a lot of Ideas about the world.

super-sekrit: with proper motivation, he'd totally make out with a dude.

1. eli's a certified genius. his parents were urged to put him in gifted classes, but eli chose to focus on sports, pretty much hiding his intellect from everyone but his teachers. he couldn't really hide it from them, since he aced every test with really poor attendance.

2. eli didn't really attend his senior year so much as he occasionally made appearances on school grounds. many of his teachers just emailed his assignments to him and he emailed them back after having read in the book on his own. except stevenson, who is a douchebag.

3. he sometimes watches straight porn which is totally normal because damn it he's not gay, he just happens to like having sex with a guy named thomas.

4. he's had poems quite secretly published in various literary quarterlies, which he hoards copies of in his closet.

5. he's been known to sell pot to his friends in the rather recent past.

super-sekrit: while he is undoubtedly in love with tennessee williams, he has a legitimate crush on nico machiavelli.

1. gunn doesn't actually know how old he is.

2. his mother was still alive when he left ireland. he succeeded in hiding away for about a year until somehow she tracked him down and sent a letter asking him for money. he sent her everything he had and then moved, leaving that city for another one so she couldn't write him again. he had a dream that she died, and assumes that that is what's happened to her now.

3. contrary to his humble home and clothing, he knows how to make money. he's just afraid to do it too often because the police are already on his scent. he's fairly frugal in most ways and works only in cash, keeping it stashed in several places around his apartment.

4. he's a horrible binge drinker. he can go weeks without a drink and then will stay consistently plastered for four days straight.

5. gunn has undiagnosed mental disorders that were likely passed on to him by his mother. he refuses to go to a doctor, but he's vaguely aware that something's not quite right. it's begun to surface more recently. a doctor would likely diagnose him with bipolar disorder.

super-sekrit: gunn wants desperately, despereately to be loved and taken care of, but god help you if you try to.

1. charlie is absolutely addicted to skittles. his favorites are the ones in the purple bag, but those are hard to find. he makes due with the ones in the red bag. starbursts run a close second.

2. he technically lost his virginity for a sandwich, a bowl of soup, and enough money for a pair of warm socks and four hours in a warm motel room that smelled like sweat. he cried the whole time and the man never noticed.

3. he doesn't consider the above to be an actual loss of virginity. someone may have had sex with him before, but he's never made love with them. he will lose his personal virginity when he chooses to, with whomever his heart chooses.

4. he doesn't really know what he wants to be when he grows up. he tends to think in terms of being a housewife with lots of babies and a dog.

5. he doesn't have a favorite color. he loves all colors, which he tends to connect not just with sight but with the way they taste and feel and sound as well, and he doesn't want any of them to be left out.
