[ PRIVATE TO LISA ]
Happy Birthday, Lisa.

You'll have to excuse me for not having a present for you right now, but I promise I'll send it along with your Christmas presents. You know, after I see what you get me for my birthday.

So, when and where's the celebration?
[ /PRIVATE ]

Whoever's staying over the holidays, anyway?

I'm not! I'm going home to see my mum, I miss her so much during the year. I would have lived with her to go to school opposed to boarding, since there are so many excellent schools in London, especially in our neighborhood, and who wouldn't want to live in London, with all of its excitement and all of the secret places. There's a museum tucked away in SoHo for birds! All kinds of stuffed birds, all around a little narrow row house off of a very narrow street, every bird that you could imagine, just nailed to walls or perched on things, it's so fascinating. It's right next to this wonderful Italian restaurant that was a Thai place only four years ago, and before that, it was a little noodle shop, but my mum says that's part of commerce in a big city. I want to travel all over the world, but I want to live in London, since you can travel all over the city for years and years and find something new every day.

Are you going home? Are you traveling? Would you go to Russia? They have banshees there, you know, that roam in Siberia. I'd love to go find one and study them, though from a distance for they can drive you quite barking, you know.

Who are you, again?

Wait, nevermind. I don't care. Just go away now.

No, no, I think an introduction is fair--that way, the next time we chat, you know who I am! I'm Gelsey Kennicot, I'm a sixth year from Hufflepuff, and I'm a Prefect, so if you ever need anything, you can always ask. Or if you need something Seen by the Inner Eye, though I'm feeling restless lately and having trouble connecting with my sixth sense to divine lately. I mean, who could, with a baby unicorn in the forest! Professor Hagrid promised that he would tell me if he saw her again, I've always always dreamed of seeing one!

But okay, it was nice chatting with you!

Can Seers foresee their own death? Because I think you'll be Seeing yours, soon, if you don't go away now.

Professor Trelawney says that it's dangerous for a Seer to investigate their own future for it colours and poisons our own actions and behaviours, so I never do, and I try not to spy on anyone else in my divinations, for I feel that is rude. Only if the crystal ball is adamant that I See something that I do. Though, oh! Morag, do be careful tomorrow when you are walking from the third floor--no, second to the third, that little blonde boy who is reading his parchment, he is going to trip and he'll knock you over, so take a step to the right when you see him.

Erm...I think I'll go then. But it was nice chatting to you!
