What's all this about doubting that Gryffindor will win the match on Saturday? Rubbish, all of it! Gryffindor is right awesome and we're going to beat the bloody Slytherins to a pulp. How can we not with the amount of training and gruelling practises we've been having? If we're not fit now, we'll never be and I know we are. I have the bruises and aches to prove it. Slytherin winning, HA! BULLOCKS.

So, ball's on Friday, eh? Who's doing the costume thing? Opted for dress robes, myself. Just easier and all that. But I'm curious to see who's going in costumes and what they've chosen to go as. I'd have probably gone as a Chudley Cannons player if Hermione and I I'd decided on a costume. Not sure if I like this mask thing, though. Gonna be a bit odd, isn't it? Not knowing who people are. Though I reckon you'll all be able to tell which one is me... no mistaking my hair, yeah?

PRIVATE TO HARRY AND GINNY
Though I'm still not entirely sure about this walk before the ball being a date or not (I'm going to go with not... no reason to set myself up for disapointment), is it required of me to like, get her flowers or something? I dunno. I'm rubbish at this. It was pretty much only snogging with Lavender. There was no need to think about this stuff. Should I get her a flower or some kind of thing like that? A chocolate or candies or something? Arg, I'm so confused. This ball is warping my brain.
END PRIVATE

Delusional again, Harper? Really, lay off the firewhiskey.

I think you'll be easily recognized more by the state of your robes, rather than the colour of your hair. Surprisingly, you're not the only redhead in this school.

You know it's pretty ignorant/stupid to assume that my robes won't be good ones... I actually have brand new, expensive ones. Shows how prejudice you are.

Really? Resorting to stealing now, are you, Weasley?

Don't be stupid, MacDougal. Oh wait, too late. My brothers bought them for me, actually. Not that its any of your business. Stop commenting on my journal, you're not welcome.

Hahahaha! Perfect response, MacDougal, if I don't say so myself.

No need, Baddock. I know the outcome... be a bit bias for me to bet, wouldn't it?

I don't see you betting either, actually, Weasley. I suppose you would, though, with such obvious confidence in your Quidditch team--

You know, if you had money.

You'd think you Slytherins would get tired of the cracks about my family's money... but apparently you have nothing better to do with your lives.

They're not cracks about your family's money, Weasley. They're cracks about your family's lack of money. We have plenty of things to do, do rest assured; you're not ridiculed for it all the time. Just whenever you decide to jump out and place attention on yourself.

When did I say you had? I said you 'place attention on yourself', I did not say 'place attention on your family's financial slum'; people don't need to be reminded of that when your face pops up, Weasley, we associate your family with the poor as is. Perhaps while you're attending Hogwarts, you might like to look into learning how to read.

And perhaps you may want to learn how to act like a human. Bloody Slytherins.

Gee. Ambitious counters there, Weasley, you might be able to out-talk a five-year-old eventually.

You would know as you seem to be acting that age yourself. Find something better to do than insult others so you feel better about yourself.

I am acting five-years-old? What a very well-spoken five-year-old I am.

When you are intelligent enough to verbally defend yourself and your standing against onslaught, you are worthy of assuming the motives the other person might have of speaking ill of you. Otherwise, it's better to just shut your mouth.

Buy her a corsage for the dance. Her dress robes are blue, so white flowers are a good choice. Red is good, pink is not. Yellow is a total no.

Courage young Ronald!

A corsage? Those little flowers that go on her wrist? Yeah, alright, I can do that. I'll sneak down to Hogsmeade sometime this week and get it.

Uh.

I - dunno? Mate, I've never taken Ginny out on a "date" myself. Because "dates" are had to do here, except on a Hogsmeade trip.

Now I feel arsed. Sigh. Note to self: buy Ginny an amazing gift.

Ginny said to get her a corsage. Think its a good idea... hope it is, anyway. Snuck down to Hogsmeade yesterday to get one for her.
