Characters: Mack and Jackie Poo Setting: Jackie's dorm room. Lazy Monday afternoon after classes. Content: Mostly SFW. Language and scandalous deets ahoy? Summary: Mackenzie drops in on Jackie to gossip about current happenings, as she would only do with her "one true love". Mackenzie hummed happily as she made her way up the stairs, almost skipping every other one as she ascended to Jackie's room. She had been in an obnoxiously chipper mood, as Hunter had put it, ever since she had spent the night with Tatum. Really, she mused, who wouldn't be happy after that night? She'd have to be crazy to not to have the giant grin that had been plastered across her face since leaving the redhead's room. She had her best friend back, which was the best feeling in the world. Of course, there were other reasons as to why she walked with such a jaunt in her step. She had decided in class that day that it would probably be a good idea to visit Jackie. She knew how much the younger boy cared about her well being and she hadn't talked to him since the night that Kate had called about Craig. Plus, she really wanted that Xmen comic to read, it was burning a hole in her mind every second that she wasn't pouring over the carefully inked pages. Jumping up the last few stairs, she caught her foot on the top one, causing her to stumble into the Sophomore's door. Laughing happily, she rapped on the wood several times before waiting, bouncing slightly on her toes. Tags: !incomplete, jackson shea, mackenzie dubinsky

Jackie had been blasting Push almost repeatedly, intermixed frequently with other songs of his choice. Casey would probably be thankful, later, that he'd missed most of it. Particularly Jackie's heart felt rendition of 'All By Myself', in which his bed became a make-shift stage until he slipped and tumbled down. He didn't let that jarring pain keep him down though. He popped back up with just the tiniest of limps before he was back to his one man show. He was even in the middle of, When You're Gone, the knock on his door slipping by him without notice as he belted out the notes. "When you're gooooone, the pieces of my heart is misses, when you're gooooone, the face I'm used to see is missing too..." He sang, twirling about the without a care. It might not have been the most manly of things, but it was one of the few things he loved in life- singing along with the radio. Or his computer, as the case were. For now, he was in bliss.

Mackenzie frowned impatiently, looking around the landing to see if there was any indication that perhaps she had missed the boy. After waiting for another minute, she was almost positive she could hear music coming from his room. Which, didn't surprise her in the least, the curly haired boy was a music freak. He lived and breathed it, which was why she had known he was the one to ask to teach her to play guitar. Jackie would probably make a great dad one day, she could totally see him teaching some little curly haired kid to play guitar with total patience.
Making an executive decision to just walk into Jackie's room, Mack opened the door and slipped in quietly. She had been assuming that he was working or something, and she was just planning on sneaking up on him for her own entertainment. The sight that met her eyes once she had closed the door quietly behind her however, was far more entertaining than scaring the crap out of her curly haired friend.
The guy was rocking out hardcore on his bed, dance moves and everything, to Avril Lavigne. Mackenzie burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. It was just too ridiculous.
"Oh my god dude!" She said, her eyes starting to water. She was doubled over, laughter shaking her body. "Avril Lavigne? Seriously? You are too much sometimes Jackie."

"Hey, boo," She cooed, She accepted the boys friendly hug, returning it with gusto. She never thought she would become this close with the sophomore but he really was her boy. "Not much, it's a fantastic day to be alive! How about you?
Giving Jackie a goofy grin, she grabbed his deckchair and plopped down into it backwards so she could lean her arms on the back rest. She tilted her head to the side in thought, she hadn't really thought about Craig too much in the last few days.
She felt guilty, especially after her little breakdown. She did truly care about Craig, she was alright with admitting that now. But there were other things that seemed more important in her little teenage mind. Certain red haired girls for example. She knew that if anything changed Kia would call and let her know.
"He's the same as he was when I got the call I suppose. Unresponsive, and like a vegetable mostly." She frowned and shrugged. There was no point in getting all upset again. Plus she had more interesting thing to talk to Jackie about. A small smile made its way onto her face, and she bit her lip to keep it from growing to big. "Honestly? I've been a little distracted as of late. Haven't really been thinking much about Craig. I'm a horrible step-daughter."

"You fly like a G6?" She joked, crossing her eyes and sticking out her tongue. She was in a horrifyingly good mood, she was actually surprised that Hunter hadn't killed her when she stopped by earlier. She had given the blonde girl a hug when she saw her, and she could almost feel the girls skin crawling. It had been excellent.
She gave him a slightly horrified look, oh god, what if something had been lurking on Bekka's bed? She knew that bitch liked to ride the magic stick, what if she hadn't washed her comforter before they had been on it?
"Oh, god, no!!" She choked out, making a disgusted face. She coughed violently after swallowing some of her own spit. "NO, NO, NO! I am not. But thank you for causing me to go into a momentary panic attack." She pouted at Jackie once she had caught her breath.
"Tatum and I are, uh, talking again," She said after a few moments, a happy smile making it's way onto her face once again. "And uhh....well you have to promise not to tell anyone this next part. Like, cross your heart, scouts honor, dude. If you tell anyone, you're a dead man."
She stared at him expectantly, patiently waiting for his response. She knew what was at stake here but she had to let her best man in on it. He knew how much she pined after her redheaded friend, and she knew Jackie was good for it.

"I think I have that song," he mused, almost getting up to start hunting through his music to find it. He didn't move though, laughing her instead as he watched her. "Geez, you're like the cat that caught the canary. Lickin' them chops baby!"
He'd never really expected her to say she was pregnant, though her reaction was certainly worth the accusation as he laughed at her. "Damn, girl. Having a Tatum moment there, aren't ya?" He said, mid-laugh. "Alright, alright...not preggers. Got it."
But his grin only got bigger when she said she was talking to Tatum again. He'd be a liar if he claimed last week had been anything but awkward. "No way dude, about damn time! Je---What? Promise? Dude, cross my heart, hope to die. I wouldn't tell a damn soul, and you know it."
Well, he wouldn't tell people any secrets on purpose. Sometimes they kinda slipped out, or almost slipped out. But that so wasn't his fault!

"I...uh, guess I was the cat that caught the canary if you want to put it that way," she said, smirking a cat like smirk. Oh yes, she had caught that little canary. "Although I did not kill said canary once I caught it. I just played with it a little."
She gave him a deadpan look as he compared her to the little redhead. It was a totally Tatum thing to do, freak out. Perhaps the little redhead was rubbing off on her. Mackenzie let out a little snort at this, that was good, rubbing off on her.
Once she was satisfied with Jackie's answer, she shifted to a more comfortable position and grinned at the curly haired boy.
"Well, we uh, might have had some sexy lady time after making up?" She said, her grin getting wider as she looked Jackie. She was practically bouncing up and down in excitement.

"That is disgusting. I don't wanna know what you play with," he said with a laugh, bouncing a little bit on the bed with excitement. Even Mack's deadpan expression could kill his enjoyment.
"No shit!" He stilled when she told him. "You and Tat? Like, got all down and bow chica wow wow? Oh my god, seriously?" His grin grew until it was painful, and he hopped off the bed to quasi-rush Mack. "No shit, dude that is awesome! Did she dump Frankie finally and not like fucking mention it?"
He was happy for Mack, and Tatum. But mostly he was happy for Mack. How long had she been pining over Tatum and all that? The senior was a better match anyway. At least in Jackie's eyes, due to the fact that Frankie just...didn't really fit in. She didn't like games, comics, and just about everything else that Mack and Tatum both liked.
"That is so friggin awesome," he chimed in one more time, almost jumping and clapping out of joy. Almost.

"Yeah man! Like, the full monty!" She practically squealed back at him, feeding off his excitement. She couldn't be this girly about it when she told Hunter, it was more of a bro thing. They shared congratulatory fist bumps and pats on the back. "It was like...fucking magical, you know? It was so perfect."
She frowned slightly at mention of Frankie, there was always a fly in the ointment. A stupid French fly, in her gravy. God, she had been hanging around Hunter too long. "No...she's still with Frankie," She said, biting her lip and trying to look innocent. The situation sounded a lot worse when she said it out loud.
"But hey man, speaking of all this girl's and Mack business," She said quickly, trying to divert the subject away from the slight problem with what had happened. "You're still down with teaching me some Tayswift on guitar, yeah?"
She got a little more comfortable in her chair and clasped her hands in a business like fashion. She had one chance to ask the redhead to prom and it needed to be perfect. "I uh...might need your help with some prom related things, you're my go to guy about this kind of crap. I want to ask Tatum."

"I bet, you've been having wet dreams since I met you about the whole thing." He laughed, though, teasing her. He good with her being happy about it, and teasing was all in the name of the game.
Until she mentioned that Frankie was still in the picture. He wasn't great friends with Frankie, but he did frown as he sat on the bed and looked at Mack seriously. "Uh, so....that's..." Right, Mack and Tatum were cheating? That was kinda fucked up when he thought about it.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, dude no sweat. You'll be jamming the tunes of my future wife in no time," he promised. Shaking off the news of cheating was a bit harder than he'd thought, but he didn't let himself linger too long on it. What good would have done him ultimately?
Though he did raise a brow at the next bit. Prom related stuff and asking Tatum? While Frankie was still in the picture? Oh God, they were going to need a miracle he was pretty certain. "I don't know dude, will she blow off Frankie like that? You know how she is about that sort of stuff. I don't think she's got it in her, but we can try?"

Mackenzie just laughed, a slight pink tint appearing on her cheeks. She knew Jackie was only teasing her but there had been a little truth to his accusation. "Yeah, well, we don't really talk about those. Hunter almost smothered me with a pillow last time, made fun of me for weeks."
She bit her lip as she watched Jackie's reaction to the news, it was pretty awful if she really thought about it. She felt guilt tugging at her chest and tried to push it to the back of her mind. Things would sort themselves out, for better or worse. At least she hoped they would.
"I don't know," She frowned, her brows furrowed in thought. She knew that Tatum would probably never say yes, but she had to at least try. The other night had to mean something, Tatum wasn't the type to just sleep with people. "But yeah, all I can do is try right? If things don't go my way though, you better suit up Jackie-poo, because we'll be crashing Junior prom together!"
She held up both of her index fingers and grinned happily, she loved causing trouble. "One sophomore, plus, one senior, equals Junior prom!" She batted her eye lashes at the boy, pouting a little. "I'll even dress up sexy for you Jackie, how can you say no to that?"

"Damn right we don't!" She suck her tongue out at Jackie, giving him the finger playfully. "I don't want to be responsible for the loss of your innocent mind!"
Mackenzie shrugged, it didn't always mean something to both parties. "I don't know, you know my past track record Jacks," she reminded him, slightly embarrassed. Jackie was like Tatum in the way that she actually felt kind of embarrassed about her whoring around. "It doesn't always mean something, so, you never know. But at least if I ask her to prom, I'll know, right?"
"You'd look so dashing in a tux though!" She whined, pouting. Although getting Jackie in a dress would be hilarious, she wondered what the staff would do if they showed up in dresses like that. "I suppose you could borrow one of my dresses, but you can't look sexier than me. It's against the rules Jackie."

"Babe, the internet has more than corrupted my 'innocent' mind. You got nothing to worry about. Ya cool, ya know what I'm sayin'?" He reached out, pushing her shoulder playfully as he grinned at her.
"Hey," he went on, holding his hands up in defense. "I've got a track record of not getting laid. Things can change, Lady, things can change. You're gonna be all respectable now, and I ain't afraid of this change in the least. So, grab a guitar and lets get to singin'..."
Or at least something like that. He stood, skipping around the bed to get his guitar out from it's case. Coming back around he sat on the bed and looked at her with a grin. "If you come to the weddin', you'll get to see just how wrong you are about me and tuxes. Just saaaaying, just saying. And don't," he looking down at his chest. "I just don't have enough boob to really be sexy. Don't you think?"
