Yev had been sitting at his desk, leaning back on two legs of his chair as he finished painting some of his little D&D figurines. He was content that he had thought to sneak out of his study date with Rowan. It wasn't that he didn't like the older girl, far from it, she seemed nice and helpful. He just didn't want to sit there and talk about vampires with her for hours on end, especially since she seemed so enthusiastic about it. So when he heard her knock on his door he flipped backward in his chair landing hard against the floor. "Shit!" he yelled in Russian. Then scrambling he pulled himself off the floor and crashed into the door.

Composing himself before opening the door he turned on his goofy smile and looked surprised to see her standing there. "Oh, hello Rowan," he said sweetly. "What... oh! Is today Thursday?" he smacked himself in the head. He was sure if it wasn't for his thick Russian accent she would have been able to see right through his lie. "I am so sorry!"

The thumps and thuds and Russian muttering was not what Rowan had expected to hear at all. One eyebrow raised as she looked at the closed door, she waited patiently for it to open. When it did, she made sure that her expression didn't betray her confusion.

"Hey Yev. I, um... It's no problem. I know, it's the first week and all, so things are confusing and stuff, and... yeah." She said lamely. "Did you... is now not a good time? We can always work on the project tomorrow or whenever you have the time for it. I don't mind postponing things if you want to. When is this due again?"

"Oh... yes... the project..." his eyes flicked from the books to her face and then back to the pile of books. "I did not tell you?" he asked, trying to stall for time. "It was changed!" he said quickly. "And due to these unforeseen circumstances I was given an extension," he lied.
