After handing over the crowns to the girls she congratulated them both and cleared her throat. "Now for the announcement of your 2010 homecoming king," she said. "Keegan Howe!" she held the crown waiting for Keegan to join the others on stage.

Keegan had been standing off to the side, looking up at the stage with his hand in Rowan's while attempting to not look amused at what unfolded already. The girls hated each other with a passion and poor Vinnie was stuck in the middle of it.

He almost wasn't paying attention when the Headmistress continued, watching Adelaide trying not to explode, but his attention turned back just in time to hear his name. Keegan blinked for a moment and smiled, mostly to Rowan, before he went up onto the stage to accept the crown.

Headmistress Pendragon left a dramatic pause for the announcement of the homecoming Queen. "And this year's homecoming queen is Rowan Cabot!"

She presented the crown to the crowd and waited for Rowan to come on stage.

She was so excited when Keegan won for Homecoming King. He deserved it, and she was happily thinking excitedly about how she would actually get to dance with the Homecoming King at some point later on when Headmistress made her announcement for Queen.

Rowan stared at the Headmistress blankly. Completely blankly, and without moving at all. It wasn't until Meka nudged her in the back that Rowan made any moves toward the stage. Her mind was in a million places at once. Somehow she managed to not trip over anything or make a fool of herself as she made her way onto the stage to accept her... crown.

Is this really happening to me?

"Congratulations Miss Cabot," the Headmistress said placing the crown on Rowan's head. "Your homecoming court!" she announced standing back to show the line of surprised, distraught, and speechless winners. "For the traditional dance, will the King and Queen please make their way to the dance floor?"

He had watched Rowan after her name was announced, a smile immediately on his face as soon as it left Pendragon's mouth. There was no surprise to the fact Rowan was stunned and he prayed silently as she came up that she didn't trip.

Now that the crowning was over, it was time for their dance. Keegan gave the Headmistress a small nod before he took Rowan's hand in his own in a respectable manner for the occasion and led her to the dance floor.
