Their dancing seemed almost formal, seeing as there was actually space between them. It felt good but it didn't quite feel right to her. Ah well, there would be more dancing opportunities later for the two of them.

"I guess I have, yeah. I hope this isn't a "Carrie" moment though, you know? Not that I've made any enemies here. I don't think. But still..." She was mostly joking. Mostly.

There was plenty of time left in the evening for other dances, and more in the vein they preferred when not everyone was watching them. Keegan couldn't help but to look forward to those.

"This definitely isn't a 'Carrie' moment. I also think it's impossible for you to make enough of an enemy out of a person for them to do that." Besides, if anyone so much as tried to ruin Rowan's night he would unleash hell on them.

She always looked forward to dancing with him. Ever since she had come to a dance with him the year previous, she realized that she loved to dance with him. Faculty watching or not. She did move ever so slightly closer to him, her thumb moving over his jacket in its usual way when they were close.

"Hmm, you might be right about that. I don't usually make enemies easily. Mostly because, well, I don't really do anything that people notice enough to object to. And I don't really talk to the kind of people who get that kind of angry that easily. Or people in general." She gave a kind of a wry smile to him. It was true that she wasn't entirely a social creature and wasn't in the habit of talking to most people, current friends excluded naturally.

Faculty or not, he certainly didn't argue when Rowan moved a little bit closer. "You're starting to talk to people more. And you were voted this position fair and square, however you managed to do it."

It sounded as if the song was coming to a close, and their time on the floor alone was ending. In a way, he was relieved. Though any hope of melting into the crowd was shot; they both practically had beacons on their heads. "So enjoy it, Homecoming Queen."
