Putting his hands around the rest or her waist, Shelby began to lead AB in a fairly awkward slow circle. No matter the song, Shelby had a pretty difficult time getting his feet to move the right way, the way he wanted. He normally avoided slow dancing for this reason, but he felt pretty comfortable screwing up around Abernathy. She was his friend and they'd probably just laugh about the whole thing later.

Shelby giggled in a way almost to prepare Abernathy for cheesiness. "I dunno if I'm much of a superhero but your feet sure need saving." Shelby joked, a little more amused with himself than perhaps he should have been.

"You dance better than Bobby," she replied with a truly amused grin. "Next time there's a dance I'll take you instead." Which was entirely weird saying so out loud. "Well... I mean... You know?" She laughed at herself and spun him around. She wasn't certain what she meant. The crown had made her lightheaded and the dress made her self-conscious. "These things are so bizarre. Maybe we can just have a movie night instead. Renegade anti-dance-establishmentarianist movement!"

"Really?" Shelby gasped a little surprised at Abernathy's comment. "The boy must really suck than to be worst then me." He joked about their mutual friend. "I'd love to come with you to one of these things though." He agreed "If Sam wouldn't mind." He laughed, poking at her a little.

"Hell yeah man. Now you're talking, a movie night sounds perfect." Sure he loved dances,parties, any excuse to smoke a few J's really but a movie night would be a hell of a lot relaxing if nothing else.

"Oh he's dreadful," she joked. "You could dance circles around him." Then she smirked. "Sam has nothing to do with who I take to dances. Next dance, you're my date." She grinned at Shelby. "So long as I can wear normal shoes."

"We'll figure out a good weekend for the whole gang," she said. "Maybe we can take over a dorm lounge. Make it a pajama party."

"What a dork." Shelby laughed, he knew she was probably just trying to be nice. It didn't mean he couldn't poke a little fun at her date though right. "I didn't mean it like that dude." Shelby replied, "he just might be a little upset with me that's all." Shelby smirked. Sam was his boy but he wasn't exactly sure what his reaction would be to be honest.

"I'll definitely take you though. And of course you can wear comfy shoes? I wouldn't have it any other way." He smiled. "Sneakers are always a good choice." He laughed again.

Thinking about a movie night, Shelby was pretty excited about the whole idea. "Ahaha a pajama party would be sweet." He giggled. He was still feeling his last joint and was maybe just a tad bit over excitable but at least he was having a good time.
