"Soooo jealous!" Janis beamed, "Is it cold there? I like, froze my tosh off!" Because clearly, being just a little bit further south could mean it was so much warmer 'down there'.
"It was pretty mild," Sunny nodded. "Much colder there than it was here but not too bad if you're used to it," she was glad that Janis was the kind of person who understood what she was saying when she spoke a mile a minute. "I was so glad to actually be able to layer my clothes again," she giggled. "You can't do that here because it's always so friggin hot!"
"Well you could layer your clothes, they'd just have to be REALLY thin!" Janis countered, Sunny wasn't alone in that speed of speak, and god help anyone who tried to listen in on them.
"I'm soooooo done with the cold. I might even ask Mom to like, come down HERE for Christmas because it's going to be F-Ree-Zing back home!"
"Oh man! That's true, why didn't I think of that? Duh!" she laughed.
"Oh man! That would be fun to have family down here for Christmas! I'm going back to New York City, I promised Stasi a cold winter break," she shrugged. "Where are you from again? You're further north than me right? I can't imagine how cold it must be!"
"Main" Janis made a face, "A-K-A Cold-As-Fudge State. I live like, a door over from the Shaw twins." Janis couldn't help but fix the wonderfully non-winter clothes she had on, a light jacket and jeans. Nooo thank you scarves. "At least you guys get all the cool parades!"
"That must be fun to have friends so close by during breaks though!" she grinned. She couldn't even imagine how much fun she would have if her favorite twins the Parry's lived right next door.
"Have you ever been to New York? If you haven't we need to fix that pronto! You're always welcome at my house!" she tittered on. "We do have some baller parades, my dad always takes my the whole family to the Macy's Thanksgiving one, you have got to go some time! And then the Pride Parade is always fun too! Rainbows everywhere!"
"It is when they actually go home." Janis replied, thinking of the loser-pants Leon and him staying here to get into fights. Loser pants.
"Ooooonce-" The mention of rainbows? Oh she was sold. "When is that? I gotta go! And you can always come up to Maine if you like... uhm. Crabs and stuff. It's kind of cool. They're red?"
"It's in June! You'd love it!" Sunny giggled. "I would love to come to Maine! I love moose! You have moose right?" Sunny put her hands to the side of her head and laughed. "MOOOOOOSE!"
"I think so!" She bounced, only to erupt into a fit of giggles at the moose interpretation. Scrunching her nose Janis did her best to mimic the ears, bouncing a bit in place.
"Well, maybe they have cell phones? Only.. antler phones?" She wasn't sure how that would work, but already an antler-hand was trying to figure out the logistics of such.
"I bet they get good reception" she wondered aloud, looking both one way, and then another, "You're back early! I mean like, from holidays?!?"
"Maybe one turns down like this," she said turning her hand down and pretending to talk on it. "You're probably right, they must have real nice call clarity," she grinned.
She bounced a little. "Oh, yeah! I had like a pile of homework to do that wasn't getting done at home," she giggled. "Too many shenanigans."
