There was no way in hell that Hunter was going to be missing this dance. She had gone off campus for Halloween, and so this was her first school event since the masquerade event. And dammit, if she was going to be spending her free time planning these damn things, she intended to enjoy them. She and Gray had only slightly planned their outfits. She would insist that it was purely coincidental that they were dressed to the height of Christmas spirit. Hell, she didn't have much of a family life, but Hunter still loved Christmas. But that was blood family. Friends were, of course, the family you chose. And she intended to celebrate the night with them, She would rather stay at school for the whole holiday break, not just this dance, but that wasn't in the cards. Her mother had already sent her several emails mentioning people who would be coming over for dinner, people from her father's work, to be on her best behavior if she was coming home, don't mention your weirdo school around our guests, get your sister a present, a real present, no gag gifts.. and even threatening to ground her to her room if she wasn't behaved enough. These emails didn't surprise her. It was all of the typical sort of things that her mother went on with every December. It hadn't changed a bit; she was on the cusp of eighteen, but her mother still threatened her like she was in the first year of classes. So despite not really feeling into Christmas at home, she was into Christmas at school, and this was the last hurrah for it. Grinning, she turned to face her boyfriend. She was a little buzzed, though just barely, but she still couldn't stop grinning. "What do ya wanna do first?" she asked, removing the candy cane from her mouth to speak, and then quickly replacing it.

"Real charmer you are," Hunter drawled back, rolling her eyes at her boyfriend. "Ya didn't even try to find the mistletoe in this joint, and already got plans to blow it all over my damn outfit. This was an expensive get-up, I'll have ya know," she rebuffed him, grinning slightly as she reached up to adjust her hat so it was hanging over her eyes a little less.
"How about a drink? Bet they got eggnog, and I got the rum, so we're all set," she suggested, leaning in to include the last bit in a conspiratory whisper.

"Delivery? Hot damn, y'all must really want to get laid. You sure ya ain't tryin' to butter me up for a threesome with Sim? Cause it still ain't gunna happen," she teased him, laughing. It was nice to get special treatment now and again, even if she had to wait for Christmas for it to happen. Plus, eggnog; how could you go wrong?
"Go on, boy, get to it," the blonde joked, giving him a playful little prod in the direction of the refreshment table. "You get the nog, I'll grab the stoop to sit on."
She was glad they were here on time. There were still quite a few tables to sit at and get well oiled before they had to vacate the seats and mingle amongst the late masses.
