Leon arrived with his date, Adelaide, on his arm dressed to the nines. He had, of course, claimed that it was just something his mother had sent him for the ball, after all, why would he have willingly shopped for new clothing? Truth was, he had, actively found the top hat and cuff links on his own. Not to mention the shoes. "Would you like to dance," he asked, turning to smile softly at Addy. Gingerly he reached up to brush a flake of snow off her check. "You look nice, you know."

He was really grateful that she hadn't plowed right into him, given that he wasn't prepared to go wash his hands in a public place. It would undoubtably lead to something awkward, and uncomfortable with as many people coming in and out of the restrooms.
"Uh," was his first response though, a chant sounding off in his head as he stared straight at her. Don't quote something stupid, don't quote something stupid. "I humbly thank you; well, well, well." He quoted, before nearly slapping himself in the head. That was stupid. Even if she knew it was from Hamlet, she'd just wonder why he was quoting it, wouldn't she?

There was no way in hell that Hunter was going to be missing this dance. She had gone off campus for Halloween, and so this was her first school event since the masquerade event. And dammit, if she was going to be spending her free time planning these damn things, she intended to enjoy them. She and Gray had only slightly planned their outfits. She would insist that it was purely coincidental that they were dressed to the height of Christmas spirit. Hell, she didn't have much of a family life, but Hunter still loved Christmas. But that was blood family. Friends were, of course, the family you chose. And she intended to celebrate the night with them, She would rather stay at school for the whole holiday break, not just this dance, but that wasn't in the cards. Her mother had already sent her several emails mentioning people who would be coming over for dinner, people from her father's work, to be on her best behavior if she was coming home, don't mention your weirdo school around our guests, get your sister a present, a real present, no gag gifts.. and even threatening to ground her to her room if she wasn't behaved enough. These emails didn't surprise her. It was all of the typical sort of things that her mother went on with every December. It hadn't changed a bit; she was on the cusp of eighteen, but her mother still threatened her like she was in the first year of classes. So despite not really feeling into Christmas at home, she was into Christmas at school, and this was the last hurrah for it. Grinning, she turned to face her boyfriend. She was a little buzzed, though just barely, but she still couldn't stop grinning. "What do ya wanna do first?" she asked, removing the candy cane from her mouth to speak, and then quickly replacing it.
