"You were the one that wanted me to take it slow, so I did." He pulled away from her enough to pull his top hat off and scrub his hair. "Look, just...do you want to go...or not?"
It was simple, right? If she didn't want to go, she'd just have to say no, and then Gael would be happy at least.
Adelaide squirmed. It wasn't as simple as yes or no, even if he thought it was.
"Do you actually want me to come, or are you only asking because you think I'll be offended if you don't ask?" If he really wanted her to come, she would go even if she didn't want to because he asked nicely and it was a girlfriendy thing to do. And she had always wanted to see Paris... "I don't want you to feel like you have to drag me along or I'll be a bitch about it."
"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want you to. We go every year, you weren't offended last year." Of course, come to think of it...He wasn't sure he'd mentioned it at all last year. Maybe a passing 'going to France for the Hols' thing, but nothing more in depth.
He would have answered her, but he was caught off guard by the sudden kiss pressed against his lips as he blinked. When she pulled away he snerked, and laughed lightly.
"So that is a yes, I take it." He said, smirking. "You'll have to get a new dress."
"Aw, man..." She hadn't thought about that part. And she hated shopping. "That was an evil, evil trap, Leon. You're going to have to help me." Hey, she wasn't going to suffer a shopping trip alone. Besides, she had no idea what kind of dress was expected of her.
"Don't make that face, I'll send Gael with you." Which would be an utter disaster, but she didn't need to know that. For now he could get away with some free teasing, and there was no reason not to indulge.
"Yeah, 'cause I'm his favourite person ever." She rolled her eyes. "He'll be like 'yeah, we totally always wear big fluffy bunny suits to these things, you'll fit right in, I swear'."
"No he won't. I'll beat him up if he does," Leon promised, pulling her close to snuggle as he grinned. "Besides, he promised to be nicer, so that would be breaking his word."
