Re: Lisette/Quinn

Shrugging and then nodding in agreement, "Yeah, I guess." She didn't want to sound like a total idiot, so she offered a pleasant smile. "It was nice, though... the kiss." Oh, good. That wouldn't make anything awkward now, would it?
"I know, I just... I'm not a real party person, I guess." Not to mention the fact that the only people she'd managed to talk to were a boy who had been trying to spy on her at her home hoping for a voodoo show, and another boy she was definitely afraid of.
Talking to Quinn was a sight more up her alley these days. "You're Quinn, right? I think we had potions together as Freshmen. I'm Lisette... do you... remember me?"

Lisette/Quinn
|
The smile that spread over Quinn's face when Lisette said that it was nice was stuck somewhere between predatory and playful. That sort of comment was the kind that just encouraged her, not that she needed a whole lot of encouraging in her present state.
"Well, some people just prefer smaller and more private parties," she replied with a small shrug. Quinn preferred them herself, but she didn't shy away from something bigger, either.
Quinn nodded, confirming that she was who Lisette thought. "Yea, we did. And yes, I do remember you. And you're prettier than I remember." Age usually change someone's appearance, and it was just as likely due to the fact that Quinn was more hormonally driven than she was as a Freshman. Either way, her filters had disappeared three drinks ago.

Lisette/Quinn
|
Lis gave a partial smile back, half shy, half unsure. She wasn't sure why, but the smile from Quinn made her slightly uneasy. But she had finally found someone interesting to talk to and she wasn't going to let a little uneasiness ruin her night.
"Yeah, I definitely do. I only came here to lose someone who was following me, to be perfectly honest." She gave a breathy chuckle and glanced back up from her cup, which she finally decided to hide behind her back. She was never going to drink from it and since she didn't know what was in it, she didn't want to offer it to Quinn.
If her earlier comment about the kiss hadn't made things awkward and embarrassing enough, Quinn had to go and say she was prettier than she remembered. Another nervous laugh left her full lips and she blushed hard. "Thanks." She wanted to return the compliment, but it sounded trite in her head. And her filters were still very much intact.
"Happy New Year." Wow, now that was lame. She couldn't for the life of her figure out why she was blundering so badly, but it definitely needed to stop.
