It was a strain to think of names and Charlie squinted off into the distance trying to recall.

"Do you know uh..Big Dave! Yeah that's his name. He's tall and he hangs with that tiny kid called Barf." He laughed a little. "Actually, Barf owes me thirty bucks."

"Barf?" Ciaran frowned and blew smoke out through his nose. "I...don't know a Barf. You sure it's Denver Prep you're thinking of?" Because if this guy was toasted most of the time, who knew where he really meant. "What about Tyler Yates? Jamie Taylor? Tripp Chambers?"

"Yeah...I think Barf might be like, thirty? My bad." Charlie smiled and shook his head. None of those names rang a bell to him.

"I heard you got in a fight with Sim, man. That's too bad. A bunch of kids filmed it on their phones and stuff. Looks kind of painful."

Yeah, this guy definitely didn't know anyone from his school.

As for the mention of his most recent clash with Lalaurie's resident douchebag, he just shrugged. "I guess. You don't really feel it at the time. Besides," he smirked a bit and paused to take another drag, "Burford punches like a fucking woman."
