Malachi’s mouth fell open in mock shock, when Chuck made her awful pun, “No you di’n’t!”, he teased, then breaking into a grin and throwing a piece of popcorn that bounced off of her forehead. Bouncing the piece of popcorn off of her forehead, for some reason, made him snort and he had to hold his hand over his mouth not to laugh.
Calming himself, Mal looked at the nachos Chuck was describing, “They do look yummy, but the best would be…”, he scooched closer to her, “…Paskettis and Nachos!” He loved it when Chuck leaned back against his arm, she was so special to him. He wondered if she knew that. He watched her reach across him for licorice and then smiled when she thanked him, “You’re welcome, Chuck…and it’s true. I’m not just blowin’ air up your skirt!”
Reaching over, he placed the bowl of licorice on his lap and then leaned his head against Chuck’s head. He loved snuggling up like this to watch tv with her. He never thought he’d snuggle up with his best friend. For a moment, he wondered what it would be like if he and Chuck were dating. He certainly found her attractive and he loved everything about her already…but, you know how it goes with couples. He couldn’t bear to lose Chuck as a friend. It all seemed pretty unfair. If they could try being a couple and then go right back to being best friends…just like this, if it didn’t work out, he would give it a shot, but it never works out that way.
“Ooooo, I wonder what they’ll make for dessert?”, Mal asked excitedly.

“AHHH…Hahahaha!”, Malachi exclaimed, when Chuck punched him in the thigh, “You have a solid punch for a chick, babe!”, he complimented. Mal grinned at her and gave her a double take, “Mix? Bleccch! I never said to mix them! Just to eat both of them…”, he lightly bit the top of her ear.
Mal was watching the show, but his eyes wandered down to where Chuck’s hand went in the bowl nestled in his lap; he so wanted to make a cruse comment or thrust his hips forward when she reached in, but he decided that would be a bit much, especially with so many witnesses to embarrass her in front of.
“That sounds good…Oooo, or what about avocado cheesecake!”, he licked his lips. He decided on a brownie as well; Chuck was a great cook, so he knew the brownies were rich and decadent. “Mmmm, these brownies are sexy, Chuck”, he moaned.
Squeezing Chuck’s shoulder, he decided to play with her a little, “Hey pretty girl…”, he whispered in her ear, “I saw you making eyes at Charlie Oliver in Charms class today. What’s up with that? You cheatin’ on me?”

Mal grinned at Chuck’s threat, “Oooo, will you spank me if I piss you off?”, he teased her further. Then he chuckled, when she shoved him away and rubbed her nibbled ear. “You’re the best, Chuck”, he sighed, sliding his arm back around her shoulder.
“Ahhhhh, Avocado and ricotta cannoli…nice one”, Mal had to admit. Then they showed Kat’s avocado pie with it’s graham cracker crust and whipped cream and Mal was licking his lips, “Oh, man, I’m gonna make that!” He kept an online file of all of the recipes he saw that he wanted to try and the file was getting longer and longer. One weekend, he and Chuck were going to just have to stay in the kitchen and cook for the whole weekend.
“Chuck!”, he playfully gasped, “What’s with trash talkin’ my bud, Charlie? He’s a nice guy!” Mal was laughing…the laughing stopped when Chuck mentioned the two sophomore girls.
“Whaaaa…?”, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights, “How did you…who told you about them? I didn’t do….you know… nuthin with them, Chuck…honest!”
Trying to change the subject, Mal pointed to the tv and said, “Oh look, they’re all plated!”

“I would”, he snickered, wiggling his butt into the sofa, grinning at her, “You know what a bad boy I am, Eleanor. Certainly I need a spanking for something!” He loved to tease with Chuck, she was so much fun.
“Of course I would share!”, he leaned his head against hers, “You know…”, he straightened back up, looking at her again, “…we should get together one Saturday or Sunday and just cook all day! Try out new recipes and stuff!”
“Well, I’ll keep all of that to myself…just in case you want to jump Charlie’s bones in the future sometime. He’s a cool guy and all, so if you ever get all horned up for him just say the word and I’ll talk to him for ya”, he teased.
“NO! Not hiding…no reason to hide!”, he looked around the room, “We were going to Taco Bell. No big deal. Not like there’s anything wrong with that.”
