Tatum rolled her eyes, slumping slightly over the arcade machine. "You are so gay," she joked, laughing a little and giving the younger girl a playful shove with her shoulder.
"If you can corner me, you mean," she offered back with a little shrug, selecting the stage for them before dramatically cracking her knuckles. "I won't need to loosen up too much to beat you," she added.
"I'm not even, and besides you're one to talk, Dykzilla." Sera joked back, giving her sister a slight shove in return.
"I'll corner you, just watch." Sera grinned, getting her hands in position on the buttons. "Just don't bounce around too much I won't be able to catch you. That's cheating too."
"That isn't cheating, that's strategy. Crucial difference," Tatum replied, raising her eyebrows. "Why do you think I usually try to pick the best jumpers? Zero Suit Samus anybody?"
It had been ages since she had played Brawl. She would need to do that as soon as she got home. "Ready?" she offered, as the versus screen in front of them announced their battle.
"You mean that robot looking thing from Brawl? Is that like a girl or what?" Sera questioned, her hands still on the buttons. She'd figured out the right ones, she didn't want to lose her position now. When it came to video games she was pretty clueless. "Is that why your always the blond with the braids on Street fighter too? She laughed. "I still think its cheating though, and if its not then either is button mashing, that's my strategy."
Turning her attention back to the game, she starred at the screen waiting for the fight to begin. "Ready." Sera answered back, immediately starting to press as many buttons as she could, even before the battle officially began.
"It's a girl. Like, probably the hottest girl in a video game that isn't made by Capcom," Tatum assured her, glancing quickly at her sister, taking in the stance of her sister's hands. She was about to warn her again about the button mashing, but Sera had started before Tatum could even speak.
"Hey!" she shouted, as the fight was finally announced and she was immediately ran into the corner of the screen with a series repetitive kicks. "Stop it, that's my strategy!"
"I'm not stopping. I'm winning." Sera grinned widely, kind of proud of herself for cornering her sister.
"It's only a strategy if it actually works. Like your jumping strategy for example, doesn't work too well when you're trapped in the corner, does it?" Sera bragged, still just hitting the same buttons and not taking her eyes off the screen. She knew if Tatum managed to free her character she was toast but she still couldn't help but gloat for the time being.
"Dude, fuck off! You're just spamming your ki-- oh come on!" Tatum practically yelped, slamming a small fist down onto the machine as 'KO' flashed across the screen. It hadn't even been a full minute on the clock, and Sera had put her through the motions. Cheap, but effective.
Hunching over the game, and looking at Sera with an irritated look, she frowned. "It's still two out of three. You're not gunna get me again," she warned, full attention back to the game as the count-down started again.
