"Tell me about it! Girl time is always appreciated. I mean, I got to chill with Akio a bit, and Keegan a lot, obviously, but there's nothing like a girl friend to hang out with sometimes." Smiling at Meka she came to give her friend a hug in greeting.

Grim looked to Meka when she came in, in his usual catly way, and got up to stretch and paw his way over to the side of the table the girls were at, meowing for his greeting in turn.

"Vacation has been amazing. I really almost don't want to go back to school. Which is weird for me, you know? How about you, apart from brotherly annoyances? You super psyched for your party? I know I am!"

"Ooo! Fun!" she said brightly. "I was in Hawaii for a few days, hung out with Kekoa then Keoni insisted I come to New York," she explained.

Meka giggled and scratched behind his ears. "Such a handsome boy," she fawned over him for a moment, then turned her attention back to her best friend.

"Right? It's been super quiet. I haven't seen dad at all," she was looking back at Grim when she said it, trying to keep the hurt out of her voice. "I wish I lived closer to everyone. Hawaii is quite the floo," she shrugged, playing it off like it was no big. "I'm definitely looking forward to the Cinco party," she beamed. "I've been planning like mad," she grinned.
