She laughed at him, before reaching out to brush a bit of marshmallow off Sam's face. "She's my mom, she totally is just looking out for me, ya know? Like yours does." Though that was probably a lie. Another parent weekend had gone by, and neither parent had bothered to come. Teagan hadn't even had time to listen to her talk when she'd called after Amber had all but accused her of offing Adelaide.
But while all of that bothered her, she'd never admit it aloud. Admitting that your parents didn't care what happened in your life, was like admitting that you weren't important. And really, complaining about it wouldn't change anything. So why bother?
"I don't think you are a bad influence at all, babe." She purred, scooting over to sit just a bit closer to Sam as she smiled. "If you were, we'd be like drunk and you'd totally be having sex with me right now."
Which, when she thought about it, this was the longest she'd ever been in a relationship without sex...since her first boyfriend at the Upper Academy.
